California State Normal School

edit

The article was redirected by Mailer Diablo, who is an administrator, one of the people who can close any AfD. The AfD discussion had people moving for delete, a redirect, and a general consensus that an article about the school should take place at San José State University. Mailer Diablo went with it. Also, NeoChaosX fixed the double-redirect by adding the é in the redirect. Tommorrow I'll try to look at what content can be placed in the university's article. NeoChaosX expressed that a signifigant amount of content was already in the article. I doubt I can include the bit about the naming controversy, however, unless I can find a good citation for it. Otherwise, I hope you can save the images too. I have also saved a copy of the article with images if you need it. Also, the fact that the school's name was changed by the Alumni Association lobbying without a vote of students or all alumni is a historical fact: "In 1972, Association members successfully lobbied to change the official name of the institution from "California State University, San José" to the current "San José State University." See http://www.sjsu.edu/alumni/about/history/ . The change took effect in 1974. Michaelch7
