Xbox 360 controller image
editHi, I notice that you have attempted to add the image 2011-04-30_02-30-51_835.jpg to the article Xbox 360 several times since 30/04/11, and felt I should explain why your edits have been reverted each time. The two main reasons are redundancy and image quality.
The first two additions were redundant as there was both a picture of a controller (white) already on the page, and a picture containing both a black and white controller (along with consoles). To have a single picture of a controller is fine, but more than one is overkill, especially since there is an article about the controller itself (Xbox 360 controller), which shows examples of various variations of the controller.
Also, the image is, to put it simply, not very good: the lighting is poor, it's grainy, it's poorly cropped, it's not properly exposed, and it needlessly contains two controllers (an image of a single controller will show the controller closer-too when made the same size, so is superior for use on Wikipedia). If we really had to show a black controller in the article, it would be preferable to use the image found on Xbox 360 controller, since it is superior in pretty much every way. You may wish to read WP:Images, especially the section labelled Image choice and placement to better understand why the existing image of the white controller is preferable.

Hello, Milad. Please note that my account is in no way associated with Telus. Also, i do not own the XT720 phone, but was very interested to obtain it at a certain point. Hence, there is little i can do to contribute to the article, except maybe take better pictures, including with the software running. --TELUS freak again (talk) 14:22, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
Hi, I'm currently working in the article. Please be more patient.
Welcome
editHi Milad Mosapoor, I noticed that you are new, so I welcome you to the Wikipedia!
I saw you started the article Motorola Milestone XT720 in May, which is great. I would like to recommend you, that if you're going to edit an article, experiment first in the sandbox. You can also carry out editing experiments "in situ" by editing the page itself and using the Show preview button. Be careful not to accidentally save the page though! If you do, then please revert the changes. Read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. --KDesk (talk) 22:24, 18 September 2011 (UTC)

Guide button
editHi. I was just wondering, why did you make this edit, where you removed the {{stack}} template from the Guide button image on Xbox 360 Controller. The reason I put it there was so the image sat next to, rather than underneath, the infobox, so that it didn't end up being really far away from what it was discussing. This may not show up in the same way on all browsers/screen resolutions, so I assume the same didn't apply to you. On my screen when the template is removed the image appears roughly in-line with the Colors and special editions heading, which isn't really appropriate. Would putting it on the left be an acceptable compromise? Alphathon /'æɫfə.θɒn/ (talk) 15:28, 26 October 2011 (UTC)
HI
YES . BECAUSE you put that image in bad place of the article after your edit

Article upgrade assistance request (Pre-translation stage)
editSeasons Greetings,
This is in reference to a relatively new umbrella article on en-wikipedia named Ceremonial pole. Ceremonial pole is a human tradition since ancient times; either existed in past at some point of time, or still exists in some cultures across global continents from north to south & from east to west. Ceremonial poles are used to symbolize a variety of concepts in several different world cultures.
Through article Ceremonial pole we intend to take encyclopedic note of cultural aspects and festive celebrations around Ceremonial pole as an umbrella article and want to have historical, mythological, anthropological aspects, reverence or worships wherever concerned as a small part.
While Ceremonial poles have a long past and strong presence but usually less discussed subject. Even before we seek translation of this article in global languages, we need to have more encyclopedic information/input about Ceremonial poles from all global cultures and languages. And we seek your assistance in the same.
Since other contributors to the article are insisting for reliable sources and Standard native english; If your contributions get deleted (for some reason like linguistics or may be your information is reliable but unfortunately dosent match expectations of other editors) , please do list the same on Talk:Ceremonial pole page so that other wikipedians may help improve by interlanguage collaborations, and/or some other language wikipedias may be interested in giving more importance to reliablity of information over other factors on their respective wikipedia.
This particular request is being made to you since your user name is listed in Wikipedia:Translators available list.
Thanking you with warm regards Mahitgar (talk) 05:58, 24 October 2015 (UTC)

Translation help
editHi there, I notice you are fluent in both Persian and English. I could use your help making an edit on Persian Wikipedia. There's an image titled File:Miguel Gomez & Richard Sammel.jpg, but someone mistakenly thought it was a photo of Richard Gomez, and added it to the Persian Wikipedia article for Richard Gomez: fa:ریچارد گومز. I tried to remove it from the article, but people keep reverting my changes -- I guess my edit summaries must have been mangled by Google Translate, and they think I'm vandalizing. Would you mind removing the photo, and explaining why the photo does not belong? Thanks, IagoQnsi (talk) 15:04, 15 June 2016 (UTC)

Europe 10,000 Challenge invite
editHi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:09, 7 November 2016 (UTC)

Singapore
editHi Milad
I am curious about Singapore. The problem is you can apply online for Visa, but you can't receive the visa online the visa will send to you by DHL delivery service. So, it's a little bit controversial to say Singapore is Evisa
- Hi User:Babakesma, as I searched extremely accurate, I found official websites claiming this is only an Electronic Submission visa for Cat. II, however the Cat. I can obtain an e-Visa. It is written on both the private and official Singaporean visa service websites so you might have been right! --> https://www.singapore-visa.sg/ AND https://www.ica.gov.sg/visitor/visitor_entryvisa. editYour recent editing history at Visa requirements for Iranian citizens shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
Despite the page being protected now, 3RR was clearly violated. This is meant to serve as a warning for after the expiration of the protection. -- ferret (talk) 14:36, 12 October 2017 (UTC)
- Dear Ferret,
- Thanks for your effort in clarifying problems and it is well appreciated from me, however it is extremely out of the humanity to judge that one-sided! Why do you only accuse me for Reverting the Page for 3 times? The 2 other users Twofortnights and Norvikk did the same. Are you their allies that judge with no reason? Please first see the Image Talk Page and then judge https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File_talk:Visa_requirements_for_Iranian_citizens.png Thanks! Milad Mosapoor (talk) 16:28, 12 October 2017 (GMT)
- I left warnings for Norvikk as well, he simply removed them (Which is allowed). Twofortnights did not appear to violate 3RR. I'm not taking sides, I'm simply ensuring that you are aware of the policies regarding edit wars. I've never interacted with any of you, or this article topic, before and have no stake in the outcome. -- ferret (talk) 16:46, 12 October 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks to User:Ferret for saying much the same as I was intending to. Since another admin has applied three days of full protection, I've closed the complaint against Norvikk and left a note for him. He has been acting very stubborn and has reverted a lot, but I see you are using some hot language above also. ("Are you the allies that judge with no reason?") Some of the advice I Ieft for Norvikk applies to you as well. You can be in the better position if you show yourself willing to use Talk:Visa requirements for Iranian citizens and if you wait for consensus to be reached there before changing the article again. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 16:55, 12 October 2017 (UTC)

Tehran Metro data on the list of metro systems
editHello Milad, I see you edited again Tehran's data on List of metro systems, this time properly adding adequate sources, but unfortunately there were some clerical errors. I fixed them and now it seems they work fine. However, after reading those references I still have some doubts about your data: since I'm not able to understand, and even to read, Farsi (I merely translated with an online translator tool the pages you provided the link to), instead of trying to modify again your edit I felt it was better to ask you in your talk page:
- as of the "Stations" and "System length" columns, I wasn't able to obtain the same sum you calculated: make sure you didn't include also the line 5 (which is a commuter rail line and not a metro), or under construction parts, or count twice interchange stations.
- as of the "Ridership" column, if I correctly understand, the annual figure is extrapolated by the daily average of 3130000 passenger reported by the source; this is a slightly deprecated way to determine the ridership figure for two good reasons:
- unless explicitly stated otherwise, the average daily can be also referred to weekdays, leading to an overestimated annual figure;
- unless explicitly said, it's unclear which time period the average daily is referred to;
- moreover, in this case it's likely that the average daily includes also the line 5, which conversely should be excluded. IMHO it would be a better choice to retain the previous data of 670 Mpax, albeit a little outdated.
- as of the reference text itself, it'd be great if you added the English translation of the title.
93.57.255.93 (talk) 14:02, 30 October 2017 (UTC)
- Hi 93.57.255.93 (talk) and thanks! The number of stations and length are without considering the commuter line. I already read it before my edit in the article's source. In the reference about the number of stations and length, there are 2 categories: 1: Available 2: Under construction. I just used the available ones in the article.
About the ridership: I simply give you the right here! I had no proper source and just added up the data by multiplying the daily into 365 days which was wrong as you stated. However, I found another source in the same website indicating the yearly ridership as 717 in 2015.
There is one very important thing about the metro of Tehran which is its day in and day out rapid expansion surprising everybody in Iran. They have been making many new stations and lines very fast since 2013. The number of stations would be 200 and the line length up to 460km until the end of 2018 while were around 60 stations and about 100km length until 2013 so no wonder if this metro comes in the top 5 soon.
Concerning the English source: It is quite arduous to find an up-to-date English source. Even the Persian sources are very much in contrast but I did my best to use the best!
I again appreciate the fact that you discussed with me through the talk. Mostly Wikipedia users just revert and edit without any back data but I am aware of you being well-informative, responsive and conscientious! Milad Mosapoor (talk) 20:26, 30 October 2017 (GMT)
