References for Courtney Zablocki

Do you want to help me create formatted references and citations for the Courtney Zablocki article? In order to be truly encyclopedic, an article must have both references and citations. One of the purposes of references is to support citations  .-- Mumia-w-18 14:32, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

Jewish American scientists

Hello Miller17CU94. Do we have categories like Category:Atheist American sceintists or Category:Muslim American scientists? No. I have great respect for all religions and belief systems. I was just trying to maintain NPOV. I hope you will understand. Regards, Masterpiece2000 10:00, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

WOW! Right now I have to revert all the deletion. Anyway, thanks for the kind words. Regards, Masterpiece2000 13:38, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of John Jarrett

A tag has been placed on John Jarrett requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Gtstricky 03:17, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

Notice was removed to the following guideline: WP:BIO#Additional_criteria. Chris 19:19, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
Your welcome, finding misuse of A7 is one my pet projects. Dsmdgold 20:12, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the compliment. Pössinger was quite some character. I have a bit more information on him which I need to include in the article some time. MisterBee1966 (talk) 08:39, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

AfD nomination of Valery Kopayev

Valery Kopayev, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that Valery Kopayev satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Valery Kopayev and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Valery Kopayev during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. • Lawrence Cohen 06:09, 21 November 2007 (UTC)

Bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton tracks

Hello,

I would handle natural tracks as an own thing. There are other events and so on, the< must every year build new, there's not a real Continuety. Only the natural Trck of St. Moritz is something other. And it's hard to work with the natural Tracks, there are more than 50 worldwide and they are changing again and again. Arttificial Tracks at the end are something other, something special. What could we do ist, to add the the former, actuall not longer usable Tracks like Sarajevor sort in an an extra list or through the other tracks. The Track for the 2014 Winter Olympics at Sotchi are actually planned, must be add later (the FIS and the FIBT actually ahgainst all plans where the Tracks shoul be build, becaus the Downward gradient is to high). Re:Congratulations on your legislative honors

Thank you for your message. To tell you the truth, it was a total surprise. I thought that I would be talking to Senator McClintock about some Medal of Honor recommendations so, I went dressed as usual and without my family. I don't think that I deserve such an honor, but I am happy that I can share it with the community. Tony the Marine (talk) 22:47, 4 December 2007 (UTC)

Re:Quality Certification

Congrats on your certification. Now, if we can track down a few more quality-oriented people, it might be worth starting a QA task group in some wikiproject. The state of the articles in Category:Quality is miserable. Burzmali (talk) 13:05, 11 December 2007 (UTC)

I have a manager who is fairly active on the local quality scene as well, I'll see if anyone he knows is interested in helping as well. Burzmali (talk) 13:39, 11 December 2007 (UTC)

Re:Possible set up for a Wikiproject

I would be interested in joining/helping set one up, but I think is the scope wide enough to encompass enough articles to justify a Wikiproject over a task force of an existing project? Burzmali (talk) 15:22, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

I don't know what project it would be directly under, but there might be on in Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Directory/Science. If not let me know and we can start one. Burzmali (talk) 21:06, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

Hiroshi Yoshizawa

Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Hiroshi Yoshizawa, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Welcome to the show! If you have tons of time, you could look through the Discussion pages (most of them archieved) to see how some of us have tried to shorten the article. Or, you could look here to read a summary of what has been happening. Steve Pastor (talk) 15:53, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

You just wrote it today? Crap, it definitely should not have been in the update already. Some new user did the hooks this time around.. The article deserved it, though. Wizardman 00:42, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

Grey and Gray, no, not Joel

actually, I just came on them when I noticed them both in the same birthyear category (I think). I then made some small edits to both of a very minor kind which I hope improved them but which I should have incorporated in the same one, considering; I suppose I may want to take a moment to move -that- from one over to the other, more or less, but aside from that I agree, yes.
