Thank you for checking the copyright statuses of these images. Where can I learn about copyright laws? I really don't know about the different licenses and which web sites provide free images. Milpitas guy 22:01, 19 May 2005 (UTC)Reply

No problem, copyright laws are rarely straightforward. The core information you need is at Wikipedia:Copyright FAQ, but there are many details not covered there. Read articles linked from the FAQ and try some some of these references for more details: copyright, Wikipedia:Copyrights, copyleft, GFDL, public domain, fair use, Creative Commons, United States copyright law, Berne convention — Good luck, it can be quite a mire. --ChrisRuvolo (t) 22:31, 19 May 2005 (UTC)Reply

Seal and Flag problem

edit

Hello, I noticed this exchange:

"No city logo, seal or flag. Comment: They were available on the city's website, but when I uploaded them, the Wikipedia server said that .bmp files aren't recommended. I linked to the seal from inside the article, but I can't upload them. Can anybody help me with this? Milpitas guy 21:42, 19 May 2005 (UTC) "

Tell me where they are and I will fix them up for you. Zscout370 (Sound Off) 00:12, 20 May 2005 (UTC)Reply

Schoolwatch Association of Photographers

edit

Hello Milpitas guy. Over the past few months, I have noticed the fine changes you have been making to schools in the region of Northern California. I am in the process of assembling a Schoolwatch photographers organization, and thought you may be able to assist in capturing schools within your area. Do you have access to a digital camera? How to add panorama of Milpitas Civic Center?

edit

Hi,

I've added panorama of Milpitas Civic Center http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Milpitas_Civic_Center.jpg

with an idea to change the passage

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milpitas

== The Milpitas Civic Center, which includes the City Hall and local branch of the Santa Clara County Library... ==

and the following

== The Civic Center... ==

with the same but referencing this pano.

I really think that we can bring Milpitas article's photos to the level a little bit higher ;)

Regards, Dmitriy aka DmitryG
