Arvind Swamy gets top billing as per this report, so please stop putting him below Simbu. ----Kailash29792 (talk) 16:19, 3 March 2018 (UTC)
Come on mate Arvind Swamy is a supporting role villain actor along with Arun Vijay so please understand there is no hatred but Arvind Swamy said himself that Simbu and Vijay sethupathi are the main leads as there will be a huge face off and please try to understand dude. [1]
It would be better to bill according to an official order. Even Rajinikanth doesn't get top billing in Padayappa, nor does Kamal in Thevar Magan. --Kailash29792 (talk) 02:42, 4 March 2018 (UTC)
Mate I'm not arguing but padayappa and thevar magan is a very huge movie with two top big starts that time and Arvind Swamy is my favourite but he had a huge comeback as a veteran actor who had a huge career change as sivaji was a big senior star like rajini and kamal right now as arvind is a great veteran actor as simbu is first because he is still a big star experienced along with vijay, ajith, vikram, suriya, dhanush, vijay sethupathi, karthi, jayam ravi, arya and sivakarthikeyan as they are big actors too and they aren't fussed about order but stroy mainly.

editHello, I'm Cyphoidbomb. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Thani Oruvan have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help Desk. Diff: [2] Your changes are in conflict with this source, which is indistinguishable from vandalism. If the starring roles have changed, you would need to provide an updated reference. Your edit also introduced grammatical problems, which is another issue. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:12, 10 March 2018 (UTC)
Very concerned about your ability to edit here
editMinority Report, I need you to respond to this note, please. I'm very concerned about your ability to edit here constructively.
- Here you say that critics responded well to the film's cinematography, which leads me to believe you didn't understand that "the visuals" were referring to the cinematography. Do you have a reason for this change?
- Here the prose content you added is completely incoherent. What were you trying to say?
- This content is unsourced. All claims about future events must be sourced.
- Here you make it seem like the film Spyder grossed ₹325 crore across two languages. Is that what you are trying to say? Where is the reference for that? Do you think it is OK to make changes and not provide references? And why are you breaking the gross down into two languages when we never do that in any well-maintained article?
- Here you claim that SJ Suryah's performance in Spyder was critically acclaimed, implying that this was the totality of the critical response, yet you've provided no reference that makes that explicit claim. Where did you get the information? Did you make it up? At best you provided a single 2.5/5 star review, which is just ridiculous. One of the references you provided was written 2 days before the film was even released. How does that qualify as a helpful source?
I'm very concerned about whether or not you possess the skills to edit here constructively. I highly recommend you think about the above and provide a clear reason below for why you made these edits. Thank you, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 07:08, 13 March 2018 (UTC)

editHello, I'm Cyphoidbomb. I noticed that you made a comment on the page Talk:Padmaavat that didn't seem very civil, so it has been removed. Wikipedia is built on collaboration, so it's one of our core principles to interact with one another in a polite and respectful manner. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Diff: [3] Cyphoidbomb (talk) 02:01, 14 March 2018 (UTC)
Rumours
editAs per WP:RUMOUR, "Speculation and rumor, even from reliable sources, are not appropriate encyclopedic content." So please stop adding rumours to articles unless they have value. ----Kailash29792 (talk) 15:32, 8 April 2018 (UTC)
"Roped in" and other slang
editRe: these changes, encyclopedias don't use slang terms like "roped in". If you mean "cast", say that. We're not writing a casual trade publication, we're writing an encyclopedia. I've had to fix the grammar in the content and I removed the part about the role being "tough" because it was vague and there was no clear academic value to it. Not to mention that you said the role was tough, as opposed to Suriya thinking that the role was tough. That's a big difference. One is Wikipedia deciding that the role was tough, the other is indicative of Suriya's opinion. I've also removed several of the references because 1) we don't need five references for a fairly uncontroversial piece of information, and 2) Blogs like Mirchi9 are unsuitable. The blog Fullreview.in doesn't even resolve, presently, and WN.com is a content aggregator, not a reputable news outlet. This means that they just reprint information found elsewhere, and we should go to the source. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 18:26, 8 April 2018 (UTC)
- Also, this edit was problematic, because you again introduced incoherent prose into an article. You changed:
"In July 2017, reports in the media suggested that Mani Ratnam had prepared a script featuring four lead male characters and had begun negotiations with actors including Vijay Sethupathi, Arvind Swami, Fahadh Faasil and Dulquer Salmaan to play the various roles."
- to
"In March 2017, after Katru Veliyadai Mani Ratnam began to featuring four lead male characters including Telugu actor Ram Charan and R.Madhavan to play the two male leads in the movie as reports in the media was also looking for the other two actors involving Vijay Sethupathi, Arvind Swami, Fahadh Faasil and Dulquer Salmaan to play the various roles."
- It is very unclear what you were intending to communicate here, and the changes have been reverted. By the way, you did not respond to My query from 13 March. It is very important that you do so, because if we continue to have problems like this, I will probably have no choice but to remove your editing privileges to prevent damage to the encyclopedia. I need to know that you understand all of the issues being raised. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 18:34, 8 April 2018 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for May 25
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Karuppan, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Masala (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

More questions
editHi there:
- Why did you arbitrarily reorder the cast?
- Why did you change the genre? Aren't most thrillers dramas? Why are we using using two genres to say one thing?
- Here, you sloppily misspell the name of the film in the lead. You remove some content without explanation and you add other content without a reference.
Got any explanation for these? Cyphoidbomb (talk) 01:35, 17 June 2018 (UTC)

Screenshots from movies may not be used in articles about the actors
editGreetings! I see you have uploaded three images taken from movies, which you tried to use in the infoboxes of the actors' articles. Unfortunately, those images may not be used there, per Wikipedia's non-free content criteria: when a free image of the actress is available, we use that to illustrate her, not a copyrighted image from a movie of hers. —C.Fred (talk) 16:27, 17 August 2018 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:Thenmozhi.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Thenmozhi.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 16:23, 17 August 2018 (UTC)

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:07, 17 August 2018 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:DjMbr8xU4AA4mDZ.jpg
editA tag has been placed on File:DjMbr8xU4AA4mDZ.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused duplicate or lower-quality copy of another file on Wikipedia having the same file format, and all inward links have been updated.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Whpq (talk) 20:38, 17 August 2018 (UTC)
Non-free rationale for File:Janani.jpg
editThanks for uploading or contributing to File:Janani.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 23:09, 17 August 2018 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of File:Andrea Jeramiah.jpg
editA tag has been placed on File:Andrea Jeramiah.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
—C.Fred (talk) 14:33, 18 August 2018 (UTC)

Confusing, unjustified edits at Thalapathy 64
editI don't understand these changes, because you didn't use any edit summaries. You seem to have removed the teaser poster and caption, apparently to justify your addition of Vijay Sethupathi to the |starring=
parameter, even though there's no clear reason to make either change. We are not here to entertain your personal perspective on who the "stars" are of this unreleased film. We typically derive that information from the film poster's billing block, per the instructions at Template:Infobox film, which makes it look really weird that you removed the poster. I advise you not to make changes like this again if you don't know what you're doing. I also advise you to use clear edit summaries, so that other editors know why you're making these seemingly-random changes. I also advise you to start responding to these comments on your talk page, because if editors get the sense that you're not here to participate in a community project, that can look like you're here to fulfill your own questionable agenda. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 04:20, 16 October 2019 (UTC)
- Also, this edit is indistinguishable from vandalism. None of the sources mention Suriya, yet you've somehow decided to put his name at the beginning of the list. Why? Cyphoidbomb (talk) 04:24, 16 October 2019 (UTC)
