{{unblock|I thought I had to call myself what the page was going to be called! So I signed up as the name of the article! Then i found how to upload the article without it having the prefix of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Addict_Clothing etc or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Misch.wgreen - if that makes sense. All I had to do was go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Addict_Clothing and the option is there to edit the page! PS. You can delete the Addict_Clothing usrename and space!}} {{unblock-auto|1=81.137.247.186|2=<nowiki>Autoblocked because your IP address was recently used by "Addict Clothing". The reason given for Addict Clothing's block is: " This account with this username has been blocked indefinitely because the username may be rude or inflammatory, be unnecessarily long or confusing, be too similar to an existing user, contain the name of an organization or website, refer to a Wikipedia or Wikimedia Foundation process or namespace, or be otherwise inappropriate (see our blocking and username policies for more information). You are encouraged to create a new account and contribute to Wikipedia under an appropriate username. Our username policy provides guidance on selecting your username. Alternately, you may request a change in username if you want to keep the contributions from this account. To do so, please follow these directions: 1. Add {{unblock-un|your new username here}} on your user talk page. This is possible because even when you are blocked, you can still edit your own talk page. 2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked. 3. You will have 24 hours after the unblock to file a request before you may be re-blocked. Please note, you may only request a name that is not already in use; do not create the new account then request a name change. For more information, please visit Wikipedia:Changing username. In many cases (especially if your account has few or no edits), it is much easier to create a new account. You may also edit Wikipedia without creating an account. Due to Wikipedia's mechanism for enforcing name changes, your IP address may be temporarily blocked. Unless you have also been engaging in vandalism or impersonation of another user, we will remove that block as soon as possible. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} on your user talk page or emailing the administrator who blocked you. : promotional, see Addict Clothing.".|3=Mangojuice|4=749274}} </nowiki>

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

Your autoblock has been removed. Please note, though, that it is inappropriate to write articles about yourself, your company, etc under our conflict of interest policy. Wikipedia is not free advertising and if you create an article about your own company, there's a good chance it's going to get deleted.

A tag has been placed on Addict Clothing, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

reposted spam

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Greatestrowerever (talk) 11:19, 12 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi Mischa, you should read WP:COMPANY for guidelines on the notability of companies. If you relist the article be make sure you cite verifiable independent sources (see WP:ref and WP:V. If you re-list this article without an assertion of notability then it is likely to be deleted again. Make sure it does not read like an advertisment WP:ADS. I wish you well in re-writing the article, good luck. Also remember to sign edits to other peoples talk pages by adding four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Speedy deletion of Addict Clothing

edit

A tag has been placed on Addict Clothing, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read our the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. SEO and Addict Clothing

edit

I found this on Article World:

Mischa Weston-Green
I have been a copywriter for 2 years, and have been in SEO for 3 years. If you deem any of my articles good enough to use, please credit me with them! Thanks. Check out: http://www.search-engine-optimization-marketing.co.uk for Search Engine Optimisation Services http://www.addict.co.uk for quality clothing

And this link identifies the same person as the "owner" of Addict's website, although I'm not sure what that implies. If you have a relationship with Addict Clothing, you should read WP:COI. Thanks. Delicious carbuncle (talk) 17:12, 12 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to MC Wrec. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Toddst1 (talk) 17:29, 12 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved, as you did at Addict Clothing. This applies to articles about you, your achievements, your band, your business, your publications, your website, your relatives, and any other possible conflict of interest.

Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability.

If you are not "notable" under Wikipedia guidelines, creating an article about yourself may violate the policy that Wikipedia is not a personal webspace provider and would thus qualify for speedy deletion. If your achievements, etc., are verifiable and genuinely notable, and thus suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. (See Wikipedia:Wikipedians with articles.) Thank you. Toddst1 (talk) 17:31, 12 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Response: MC Wrec

edit

Hi, Thanks for the note on my talk page. I don't believe I was involved in deleting MC Wrec. I do remember looking at the article but I don't remember tagging it for deletion, nor does my edit history show me notifying the article's creator of it being listed for deletion (which I would have done). It was apparently deleted by User: Gb on March 12 through a Speedy deletion process for reason: ‎" Real person; doesn't indicate importance/significance: No actual asserted notability in his own right." That's all I know. I don't have access to the logs beyond that. Cheers. Toddst1 (talk) 12:51, 13 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
