Women in Red
editHi there, Moira_Paul, and welcome to Women in Red. As a new editor, you might find it useful to look through our Ten Simple Rules. Please let me know if you run into any difficulties or need assistance. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 09:43, 28 November 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks, Ipigott. I think I will be doing small things, but hopefully they will help with the overall project vision. Moira Paul (talk) 21:38, 1 December 2018 (UTC)
OTD duplication
editFYI there are two ways you can see if an article is already featured on a different day (e.g., Ellen Johnson Sirleaf). First is on the article talk page, there will either be the OTD banner at the top or the dates will be hidden in the "Article milestones" collapsible section. The second is to use the "What links here" feature and filter the namespace to Wikipedia (this is a little more work because articles may be linked to from multiple OTD pages but they may be in bold only once per year; however this is the only way to find an article which has been recently added to an OTD page but has not yet made an appearance). Thanks. —howcheng {chat} 16:58, 14 January 2019 (UTC)
DOTY guidelines
editHi. See Wikipedia:Days of the year: "Any material lacking a reliable source directly supporting it may be removed and should not be restored without an inline citation to a reliable source". This requirement was introduced middle of last year for DOTY, after much hot debate. Deb (talk) 11:21, 18 March 2019 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for September 17
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Wen Shu, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Li Hui (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Zanhe (talk) 21:31, 17 September 2019 (UTC)- Hi Moira Paul, thanks for the well written article! I've added more info and sources and nominated it for DYK, please see nomination page. One question though, could you a source for the sentence about her influencing Wen Shu? I haven't been able to find an online source for it. Thanks! -Zanhe (talk) 05:05, 21 September 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks for the DYK nom, Zanhe. The source is in an essay on Wen Shu in Views From the Jade Terrace, so I'll add the citation whilst I still have the book on loan!

DYK for Qiu Zhu
editOn 28 September 2019, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Qiu Zhu, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that 16th-century Chinese painter Qiu Zhu was known for her depiction of Guanyin (pictured), the goddess of compassion popular among women? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Qiu Zhu. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Qiu Zhu), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

DYK for Li Yin
editOn 26 November 2019, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Li Yin, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Li Yin's paintings (example shown) were so sought after that as many as forty imitators in her area turned out fakes of her work? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Li Yin. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Li Yin), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Lady Astor on OTD
editThanks for adding Nancy Astor, Viscountess Astor to Wikipedia:Selected anniversaries/December 1. However, as you may have noticed the article is ineligible due to maintenance tags. Furthermore it is already included on November 28 so it would not be eligible to appear again here. Unfortunately, the article you did bold, Member of parliament is also ineligible due to maintenance tags, and even if it didn't have any, this would not be a good date for it because as per the rules, the fact in the blurb needs to be one of the most important in relation to the article subject. Regardless, thank you so much for the contribution and I hope you continue to add blurbs to OTD pages. —howcheng {chat} 19:16, 28 November 2019 (UTC)

Hi! Have you seen Talk:REDress_Project#Evaluation of the article the impact all your wonderful work on the REDress Project article has had? :) I have heard that the article has also been referenced in other university courses too. On a side note, Kirstie Macleod on this side of the pond started a similarly titled project for marginalized women around the same time. What were the chances! -Yupik (talk) 11:50, 14 November 2021 (UTC)
