The article Darcey Wilson has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. GABgab 14:59, 15 February 2017 (UTC)
Darcey Wilson
editPlease do not add her birth date back without providing a reliable source, which verifies the date. You should take the time to read WP:BLP. Since you have admitted to personally knowing the subject of the article, you should also read Wikipedia's conflict of interest guideline. Thank you. - JuneGloom07 Talk 02:56, 14 March 2017 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Dawn Ige
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Dawn Ige requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://governor.hawaii.gov/meet-the-first-lady/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Adem20talk 09:52, 4 April 2017 (UTC)
Replaceable fair use File:Dawn Ige Headshot.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Dawn Ige Headshot.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. – Train2104 (t • c) 14:18, 4 April 2017 (UTC)

editYour addition to Guerilla Bay has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted material, including text or images from print publications or from other websites, without an appropriate and verifiable license. All such contributions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Speedy deletion nomination of Chell Marie Williams
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Chell Marie Williams requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. 331dot (talk) 11:42, 10 October 2017 (UTC)
Bennelong candidate photos.
editHi Monokamui. I have noticed that both File:Kuristenak.png and File:Alexanderjohnsan.png look like the photos on their campaign websites, with different backgrounds.[1][2]. You have claimed that they are both your own work. Are you really a professional photographer engaged by both the Liberal and Labor parties for their campaign photos, and able to retain the rights to the photos to contribute to Wikimedia? If you are, that's great, thank you, and we look forward to you being able to contribute more high quality portraits of MPs. Thank you. --Scott Davis Talk 03:27, 15 December 2017 (UTC)
Hello, can you please write this article? It seems to have been started with an infobox, but no actual article. Thanks, Boleyn (talk) 09:26, 4 February 2018 (UTC)
Australian election maps
editHi, I'm not sure which country you live in, but those maps showing the state-level two party preferred(?)( results in Australian federal elections are not actually useful. Australian elections are decided by how many individual house or representatives seats the parties win. These maps are also not useful for understanding the Senate results given that they're a form of proportional representation, meaning that the parties who win sizeable minorities of the vote will have senators elected. I'm going to go through and remove these maps. If you'd like to make a case for them, Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Australian politics would be the best location for the discussion. Regards, Nick-D (talk) 07:10, 2 April 2018 (UTC)
- I see that the maps are actually for first preferences, which is even less meaningful for both House of Representatives and Senate results. Nick-D (talk) 07:18, 2 April 2018 (UTC)
- Hey @Monokamui, I just wanted to let you know we are having a chat about those maps at the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Australian_politics board. So far there seems to be a consensus that specifically the two party preferred by state maps are accidentally misleading. I was going to start taking them off the pages, but I just wanted to let you know first. For the record it's just those specific maps, I really appreciate all the other maps you have created! ArbCom 2019 election voter message
editThe file File:Darcey Wilson.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
unused, low-res, no obvious use
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:02, 10 February 2020 (UTC)
American politics discretionary sanctions alert
editThis is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in post-1932 politics of the United States and closely related people. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.
November 2020
editPlease refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively, you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Stop declaring winners without consensus in the 2020 U.S. presidential election. ― Tartan357 Talk 21:22, 6 November 2020 (UTC)
Australian federal election results
editThanks for your work in cleaning up the various Australian federal election results articles. Copying an infobox from 1 article to another runs the risk of creating different information in relation to the same election, potentially creating confusion and uncertainty for the reader or editor. Further it doubles the amount of work to make any changes. For this reason we have been using {{Excerpt}}, or where necessary transclusions, which means that the identical information can be displayed on multiple articles. I have fixed Results of the 2019 Australian federal election (House of Representatives) to use excerpts for the infoboxes. --Find bruce (talk) 09:55, 10 October 2021 (UTC)
