Help with formatting or correcting any inconstancies in references protocols is welcomed.
Perhaps you knew Dr. Hills and can provide any news articles or interesting nuggets we may have missed.
Many interesting photos are also available for uploading once the formatting is complete.
Here are two pages where we'd like to follow similar formatting.

(Incidentally Francis Crick and Jawaharlal Nehru were both friends of Christopher Hills)

Finding an expert to properly Wikify this page
editThis help request has been answered. If you need more help, you can , contact the responding user(s) directly on their user talk page, or consider visiting the Teahouse. |
Proper Wikification is beyond our newbie scope. Is there anyone out there who would be willing to take on the job of Wikifying Christopher Hills article to the extent that it would qualify for the Wikify notice to be removed?
We had selected what we thought were excellent categories representative of the contents of the article. However, they have been removed. The current categories seem overly simplistic.
We'd be glad to compensate you for your time and lending your expertise.
Thanks Monsoonique (talk) 23:29, 8 March 2011 (UTC)
- Hi, and welcome to Wikipedia. It sounds like you have confused wikification with adding an article to categories. They are not the same thing. WP:wikification means adding internal links to other related Wikipedia articles. For example, if you mention spirulina, and we have an article on that topic, you link it, spirulina. If you leave the Wikify tag in place, someone will come along eventually and improve the linking in the article. Your article also needs copy editing, so I have added another tag - the {{copyedit}} tag. Please don't look on these maintenance tags as badges of shame. They are a good way to attract other editors to your article who specialise in certain kinds of improvements. Please be patient, though, as both of these maintenance categories have large backlogs of work to be completed. Cheers, --Diannaa (Talk) 00:00, 9 March 2011 (UTC)
Thank you Diannaa
- Reading your Talk page was an eye-opener on the whole Wikipedia copy editing ecosystem and the power of group skills. Regarding wikification I thought I'd been quite conscientious about that, though I've already spotted omissions. Finding this via your page, Wikipedia:WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors/How to/Step by step guide, I now have pointers for working on continuous clean up. We also have more photos and press clippings for References. Nevertheless, I am unable to quickly learn the vast pantheon of technicalities. With your rank and qualifications it would be an honor to have you copy edit Christopher Hills, particularly as you appear to have an affinity for India. In my first plea for help I was proposing paying an hourly fee for an expert such as yourself to bring the page into compliance. Is this allowed? If so, would you take it on, perhaps as a way to help support more Wikipedia work? If not, do you think I should re-post the help me tag to find someone or does one, by necessity, simply have to wait? Best Regards Monsoonique (talk) 01:30, 9 March 2011 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Disambiguation link notification for May 11
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Christopher Hills, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Spirulina (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
