Nice Anti-Vandal Revert!

Hi Catzthecoolest, you reverted perfectly on the page that I can't remember what it is right now (sigh...that's what you get for doing anti-vandal for too long in a row...you can't remember where you are!) Usually the easiest way to rv is to take a glance down the page for the most likely "legitimate" edit, "compare" the two by checking the black circle next to the "legit" edit, and then "editing" the legit edit; simply saving it as is. A little dialogue box will pop up saying "if you save this page, all newer pages will be lost," which is, of course, what we want. Sorry if that was horribly confusing.

Thanks for reverting the vandalism on Jenn Sterger's page. Ms Sterger is a good friend of mine and has asked me to keep an eye on her page for her. You go there before I did. Thanks again. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sectionb (talkcontribs)

WikiProject MMO Newsletter - April 2007

WikiProject MMO Quarterly
April 2007 Issue I
About Us
WikiProject MMO Quarterly is a quarterly newsletter posted on the first of January, April, July, and October. The newsletter is written by any and all interested members of WikiProject Massively multiplayer online games for members of the project and interested Wikipedians outside of the project.
Questions, comments, and concerns
For general questions, comments, and concerns, leave a message on our talk page here. For questions, comments, and concerns about our newsletter, leave a message on the talk page for the newsletter section of our Outreach Department here.
New good articles and featured articles
Good articles and featured articles are a great way to see what major acomplishments we have made over the last quarter.

Good articles

Featured articles
None this quarter!

Role call
We ask that within a month, all members sign our role call to show that they are still active participants in the project. More information is available on the role call page.
Major news
WikiProject RuneScape, our former child project, was moved to become a task force of this project in January as it had a small scope but the task force is still going strong to this very day.

This past quarter marks the beginning of our new collaboration system MMOGCM. Past collaborations thus far have been World of Warcraft and MMORPG, both of which made it to GA status while it was the MMOGCM.

As well, we now have an Outreach Department which works on this newsletter as well as spreads the word of our project.

WikiProject MMO is also now a participant in the Work via WikiProjects division of Wikipedia 1.0 and as such, we will be helping decide which are the best (based on quality and importance) articles within our scope. Project members can discuss which articles are to be included here.

News from the RuneScape Task Force
We are currently trying to improve this task force so that we can edit all RuneScape-related articles in an organized manner. To do that we started a massive overhaul which we invite all task force members to participate in.

We have also gotten our main article, RuneScape to good article status this quarter. All this, and the task force was only created in January.

Signed...
Greeves, Ed

On behalf of WikiProject Massively multiplayer online games.

Your VandalProof Application

Thank you for your interest in VandalProof, Catzrthecoolest. As you may know, VP is a very powerful program, and in fact the just released 1.3 version has even more power. Because of this we must uphold strict protocols before approving a new applicant. Regretfully, I have chosen to decline your application at this time. Please note it is nothing personal by any means, and we certainly welcome you to apply again soon. Thank again for your interest in VandalProof. Because of this we must uphold strict protocols before approving a new applicant. Regretfully, I have chosen to decline your application at this time. The reason for this is that you recently had a nomination declined only three days ago, by Betacommand, and I endorse this users' decision and further note that three days is not long enough to reconsider.

Please note it is nothing personal by any means, and we certainly welcome you to apply again soon, although in a reasonable amount of time. Thank again for your interest in VandalProof. Daniel 04:59, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

Huggle

I saw on Wikipedia talk: Huggle that you requested Huggle by email and never got it. Did you email User:Gurch or User:Huggle. The latter of the two is the preferred user to email for Huggle-related stuff. Cheers.--Urban Rose 15:59, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

If Gurch is taking too long for your taste I could e-mail you the application myself, but you'll still need to make contact with Gurch if you want updates.--Urban Rose 19:20, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

E-mail

I can't seem to send attachments using the "e-mail this user" function. Send me an email using that function and I'll reply with an attachment containing Huggle.--Urban Rose 19:50, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

I've sent you the e-mail. Check your inbox. :)--Urban Rose 20:03, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
Did you add the Javascript to you monobook.js page (see WP:HUGGLE for more details)? If not than it won't let you log in.--Urban Rose 20:11, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
So how are you liking it so far?--Urban Rose 20:15, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
Well anyway I'm glad it's working for you. Use it well, my friend. If you have any more questions just let me know.--Urban Rose 20:20, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

Your usurpation request

Your request should be filled by a bureaucrat soon — I've posted a request at the Bureaucrat's noticeboard for a crat to look at the backlog. Xenon54 22:42, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

Admin coaching request status

You have expressed interest in undergoing the Admin coaching program. However, after reviewing your edit history, I feel you may need more experience editing (i.e., >1,750 edits & 4 months of activity) on Wikipedia before you can know for certain your ready to begin the process of becoming an administrator. Therefore, at this time, your application for Admin Coaching has been declined.

My suggestion would be to seek adoption from a more experienced user who can help you experience all of the various components of editing an encyclopedia. If you decide adoption is not for you, there is also the editor review process that may help you find areas to improve upon in our editing. If you would like to talk more about this, please feel free to leave me a note at my talk page. Malinaccier (talk) 23:23, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

A more personalized suggestion I have for you is to become more active in areas such as WP:XFD. Happy editing, Malinaccier (talk) 23:23, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

Actually, the standard was changed (nearly literally) overnight! :) Myself and several others had a discussion here about removing requests of editors who were below the minimum. We then agreed that 1,750 edits was a good threshold, and I removed and contacted people who did not meet this.
I would like to ask you to please temporarily remove yourself from the list again until you reach the standard 1,750 edits. At this time, you will be free to add yourself back to the list at your leisure. As you are probably aware, most RFA contributors expect a candidate to have well over 3,000 edits and over 6 months of experience—and our standards are tailored to protect potentially strong candidates from early RFAs and harsh feedback. Once again, I request that you remove yourself from the list temporarily and re-add yourself when you have met the mark. If you have further questions, feel free to contact me! Malinaccier (talk) 02:29, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
Thanks a lot for your understanding! Malinaccier (talk) 03:44, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
