Hello, I'm Field Marshal Aryan. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to the main body of Vishwakarma (caste). Generally, any relevant external links should be listed in an "External links" section at the end of the article and meet the external links guidelines. Links within the body of an article should be internal Wikilinks. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. I don't know who write this on Wikipedia but that is a wrong information acc. to various courts judgements they are Brahmin. https://vishwakarmas.webs.com/chittoor-jilla-adalath this is a link of a webpage in which all court cases are described. The all the things write here is wrong they are descendants of Lord Vishwakarma who is mentioned in Vedas not in Puranas. Mr.B.Panchal (talk) 03:11, 24 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

http://haryanascbc.gov.in/list-of-backward-classes this is a link of haryana gov. official website of obc caste list where they mention Vishwakarma as Panchal Brahmin, Jagid Brahmin, Dhiman Brahmin. May be you understand now because this reference is from government list. Mr.B.Panchal (talk) 03:42, 24 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Your recent editing history at Vishwakarma (caste) shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Your additions have been reverted by two people, in part because of our verifiability policy. In addition, listing gotras usually just results in vandalism, bad linking, future unsourced additions that are difficult to verify etc without actually imparting the sort of information that is of use to our readers, so we tend not to bother. There will be some articles that do list them but that is simply because there are too many caste articles and too few knowledgeable editors - it is not a reason to add another article to the list of problems. - Sitush (talk) 13:53, 22 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
You have done it again at the Vishwakarma article since my note above. Worse, you are making the incorrect statement that they are brahmins well it is commonly accepted by academics - some of whom are cited - that this is just a puffed-up claim held by some of the caste's membership. You've also been reverted at some other articles. Pinging Boing! said Zebedee. - Sitush (talk) 13:02, 23 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
Ping Bishonen, too, as I think I have messed that up - I need to use {{ping}} in future! - Sitush (talk) 13:03, 23 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
I have just moved the content of User:Mr.B.Panchal to User:Mr.B.Panchal/Sandbox because we deprecate use of User pages as a place to create draft articles. Pinging @Bishonen and Boing! said Zebedee: again, and hoping I have it right this time. - Sitush (talk) 07:32, 24 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
Got the ping this time - eyes peeled. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 09:23, 24 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
I don't think you did move it, Sitush — it's still on their userpage. And whilst you did put it in their sandbox, you subsequently blanked it. Is there something I don't understand? Bishonen | tålk 09:31, 24 July 2020 (UTC).Reply
Well, I thought you would understand by now that I am a complete idiot and seem to be jinxed when it comes to this particular contributor. I seem to have become very confused! Apologies to all and I will fix. - Sitush (talk) 09:57, 24 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Minor edits

edit

Hi Mr.B.Panchal. I noticed that you're marking all your edits to Vishwakarma (caste) as "minor". They are not. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia – it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Bishonen | tålk 09:12, 24 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Ban warning

edit

Mr.B.Panchal, your edit here does not merely add gotras, as the edit summary suggests: it restores your earlier claims that the Vishwakarma have a higher social status and that their Brahmin status is accepted outside the community. This is not true, according to reliable sources, as Sitush has been explaining to you above. Your additions are pure caste promotion, which is not allowed on Wikipedia. They also don't fit in with the rest of the article, and the sentence "This Brahmin status is now accepted outside the community, such as wearing the sacred thread, and the Brahminisation of their rituals" doesn't make any sense as a sentence. If you add caste promotion to the article again (or to other articles), you are likely to be banned from editing Indian subjects. Bishonen | tålk 09:27, 24 July 2020 (UTC).Reply
