Hi!
editHi, Mr. Weirdo. Yep, you were actually talking to me :). If you want to reply to my comment at Talk:Democratic Party (United States), scroll down to the subsection of the page where you asked the question and look to the right of the headline. You should see an "edit" button. Just click it and add your response below mine. And that's it! Oh, and don't forget to sign your posts on talk pages with this: ~~~~ · j e r s y k o talk · 23:32, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
- That was easy. Thanks Jersyko! I was having trouble with that. Mr.Weirdo 23:11, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
I've actually never created a userbox, so I probably wouldn't be much help. I recommend taking a look at Wikipedia:Help desk. You can post a request and someone should help you out. · j e r s y k o talk · 23:20, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks anyway. I always come to you for help since you are the first one to help me on Wikipedia. Asking you for help is pure instict. --Mr.Weirdo 21:09, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
userboxes
editHi, regarding userboxes, I put a couple of examples on your page, maybe you can copy them and change the text and pictures to what you want. Here's an example of the code to make a userbox:
{{userbox|navajowhite|navajowhite|[[Image:some_imasge.jpg|45px]]|Sample text.}}
It's made up of five elements, each separated by the "|" character, and two curly braces at each end.
- The first element is the word "userbox".
- The second element is the color of the small area at the left (where the picture goes, if there is one).
- The third element is the color of the larger area at the right (where the userbox text goes).
- The fourth element is:
- Some text (but if its more than about 4 letters it might get wierd), or
- The name of a graphic, the "|" character, and the words "45px" (this makes it be 45 pixels, to fit), all inside square brackets
- The fifth element is the text of the userbox
The article Web colors has a list of color names and numbers. Cheers, Herostratus 03:00, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
I did it! I made a userbox thanks to you! Thank you so much. I was getting very frusterated reading that userbox help thing and not understanding a word it was saying. --Mr.Weirdo 20:33, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
