Speedy deletion nomination of Roshan Abdul Rahoof

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Roshan Abdul Rahoof requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. —usernamekiran(talk) 11:09, 14 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions to the Priya Prakash Varrier article, but for legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text—which means allowing other people to modify it—then you must include on the external site the statement: "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later, and under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribute Share-Alike".

You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question at the Help Desk. You can also leave a message on my talk page. --Yamla (talk) 14:13, 14 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi, Yamla has got confused because of a series of close edits. It was not you who added the image but, nonetheless, your addtion of "on the occasion of Eid" is not helpful. 3 March is also someone's birthday - why didn't you mention that? Eid had no relevance, just as the birthday would have no relevance. We can do without contributors subtly stirring up communal hatred etc. Thanks. - Sitush (talk) 14:19, 14 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
Actually, maybe they did not get confused. Did you copy that text? - Sitush (talk) 14:23, 14 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
They did readd the copyright-violation in this edit. --Yamla (talk) 14:24, 14 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
Ah, ok, Yamla. My apologies: I am flipping between a duff router and a tethered mobile connection and am missing bits of the action, I think. Adarsh, yes, you really should not do that. - Sitush (talk) 15:06, 14 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
