Can you describe what changed in File:Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology & Research Academy logo.png in the "new version" you uploaded? I didn't see any changes, so I have reverted back to the old version, rather than reduce the resolution of your new upload. —C.Fred (talk) 12:18, 20 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that your recent edit to All India Council for Technical Education did not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.

The edit summary field looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account, you can give yourself a reminder by setting Preferences → Editing →   Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary (or the default undo summary), and then click the "Save" button. Thanks! Muhandes (talk) 18:16, 20 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Image sizes

edit

Hello. I noticed that you have been uploading high resultion non-free images. Per our non-free content policy, non-free images may be no more that 100,000 pixels (see WP:IMAGERES). Your uploads will simply be reduced to an appropriate size via a bot. If you have any question, let me know. – Pbrks (t·c) 22:58, 21 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Logos

edit

Please don't create new files for logos which already exist. If the logo has changed, update the existing image. Do remembers that the size is limited to 100,000 pixels, which means aggressive cropping is preferred. Muhandes (talk) 08:44, 29 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Why use a less cropped image?

edit

I don't really care much, but why do this? The image you are using has more whitespace around it, which seems redundant. Your edit summary is somewhat cryptic. Am I missing some obvious image chance? If so, why change image instead of uploading a newer version to the former image?
ETA: Same here. I'm not sure why you prefer less cropped image. Since we are limited to 100k pixels, more whitespace means less image. Do you have preference for less accurate images? Even if you do, why change image instead of uploading your less accurate logo to the old one? Muhandes (talk) 07:33, 3 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
