editWelcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Simon Lederman has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. I removed the following link(s): http://entertainment.stv.tv/showbiz/123693-michael-jackson-was-a-born-talent-says-tito/.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Simon Lederman do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia.

Simon Lederman
editDo not revert changes made to this article. Wikipedia is WP:NOTADVERTISING. Biographies of radio DJs and presenters should not list what they have done without sources too. Take a look at Simon Mayo or Tony Blackburn for examples. 90.205.178.137 (talk) 23:18, 1 September 2014 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
editHello, N0user0. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article Simon Lederman, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:
- avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
- instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
- when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. Widefox; talk 10:00, 17 May 2016 (UTC)

editPlease do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Simon Lederman, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. Widefox; talk 10:01, 17 May 2016 (UTC)
Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Simon Lederman. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. Widefox; talk 10:03, 17 May 2016 (UTC)
Hi Widefox; talk 10:01, 17 May 2016 (UTC)
I took off the maintenance template because I had attempted to fix the issues raised - I fixed inline links and ensured that the references made sense and to avoid link rot. The issue of conflict of interest didn't seem to have an obvious fix as this is an opinion but I would have hoped that you would give me the chance to fix the issues you raised which I thought I had in the main. Please give examples of the issues which remain and where there are not references. You have also raised a new category - advertising even though no new content was added since your last issues post. I am certain that what I have written here is objective not subjective and provides a balanced view but if you feel it does not are you yourself not able to fix the issues to your satisfaction? I'm happy to stop editing but this page might have 'multiple issues' for a long time. You have not commented or reverted this page before. But you are welcome to fix the issues. If you have not done so in the next week or so I'll have another attempt. Please let me know. Could you also explain how I can request changes. It seems very complicated! Apologies if I've got the talk etiquette wrong here. Warm wishes. N0user0 (talk) 13:14, 17 May 2016 (UTC)
- I note you haven't answered if you have any connection with the subject. Do you? You may be enlightened by WP:COIBIAS. As for questioning any other editor, giving them permission or timescales for your desired edits, see WP:OWN and read the COI policy/guidelines which details how a COI editor can request edits on the talk page. As I'm not the first editor to question this, continuing without regard for what appears to be a consensus here isn't recommended. Regards Widefox; talk 13:32, 17 May 2016 (UTC)
Thanks for your reply. Sorry if youve misunderstood, I'm not questioning your right or anyone else's right to edit change or alter any materiel. I was asking if you would. I'm also not claiming ownership of the page, I'm offering to leave editing this page. I'm asking how to suggest edits rather than make them myself. Wiki is only a hobby for me. I didn't even know this talk page existed and so I have not seen the previous comments. I'm happy to go with the consensus for sure. so if I've not doinv it in the right way I'm happy to leave. I was asking for your help or time to fix the issues. Thanks N0user0 (talk) 13:42, 17 May 2016 (UTC)
