editNaijaBasic is a Northern Nigeria music download Website and blog. They focus on music, entertainment and lifestyle and other media contents aimed at African audiences.
Overview The website was founded in 2012 to meet the demands of Africans to easily access new music releases from artistes in the country. The website has also enabled upcoming musicians to upload their own songs like Audiomack and SoundCloud in a subdomain referred to as Naijabasic Live.
During the over 2012 (11 years ago) stint of the website, it has grown rapidly to become one of most talked about websites in Africa.
The site’s name Naijabasic has also been used to replace the word “download” among Northen Nigeria youths, e.g “I can’t wait to Hausa Hip Hop album ”.
