editIt's not permitted at this web site to deface pages with attack pages, such as Asstree, Alabama, either in regular text or images. If you continue to violate our policies, your account will be blocked. Staxringold talkcontribs 03:01, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
- Asstree does not appear at all on Google. It is an attack page, stop it now. Staxringold talkcontribs 03:01, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
- You have created a page on a town that does not appear to exist, and have provided no references to prove that it does. Given the name's similarity to ass, and complete lack of proof that it exists, it has been deleted. If you recreate deleted content without dealing with this issue, you will be warned again. Staxringold talkcontribs
Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, as you did to Asstree, Alabama, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Staxringold talkcontribs 03:05, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
- Wikipedia does not allow all content, there needs to be an assertion of importance or notability for the subject (a town would qualify), but that content also needs to not be random crap someone made up. And asserting there is a town called Asstree is a definite attack on Alabama. Given that you claim to be of Polish ancestry, grew up in Alabama, and attend school in DC, yet claim to be a marylander to vote against the grain in a VFD I'm guessing this is a vandal account. Staxringold talkcontribs 03:10, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
- An attack page is a page of false content posted to attack someone or something. (You know a guy named John Doe you don't like so you post an article with the content "John Doe is a giant douchebag", for example) A seemingly facetious Alabama town with a name similar to ass and no sources is such a page. Staxringold talkcontribs 03:11, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
You have been blocked from editing for violating Wikipedia policy against recreating deleted content. To contest this block, please reply here on your talk page by adding the text {{unblock}} along with the reason you believe the block is unjustified, or email the blocking administrator or any administrator from this list. Note to sysops: Unblocking yourself should almost never be done. If you disagree with the block, contact another administrator. Staxringold talkcontribs 03:48, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
All I did was post an unsourced article. Plenty of other people have done that. It deserves to be discussed.
- Taking a look at it, no, 4 re-creates is a bit too much -- Tawker 03:58, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
Danica Heller
editI wasn't trying to imply that you were trying to hide your authorship when you posted to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Danica Heller; rather, it's generally good practice in AfD discussions to explain any interest that you might have had in the article prior to the deletion debate. You are new to Wikipedia, which is why I added your signature and the comment about your previous interest. No accusation was implied. Cheers, Vectro 16:11, 11 October 2006 (UTC)
Zoe
editWe are not going to let nasty personal attacks about former users who have left in good standing. Period. I had issues with Zoe and almost filed an RfC about her at one point. That doesnt change the fact that she was one of our most helpful and productive admins. personal attacks on Wikipedia are never allowed and doubly so in this case given who it is. Do not restore the comments again or I will block you. JoshuaZ 05:02, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
- I've blocked you for 24 hours. First, calling someone a "facist" is a personal attack. Second your claim about the first amendment is ridiculous- Wikipedia is not subject to the first amendment, Wikipedia is not a government organization. Given this, there is nothing wrong with having policies like no personal attacks and they will be enforced. JoshuaZ 16:35, 16 February 2007 (UTC).
This Christmas!
- You're comment about facism seemed to be directly referring to Zoe and at minimum was highly uncivil. (Also note that making edits through an anon IP when blocked constitutes block avoidance), if you have something to say you should say it here. To contest your block you can use an {{unblock}} template. (Also a small piece of advice, when trying to get unblocked it generally helps to be polite to the blocker, this is just a matter of how humans work). JoshuaZ 20:57, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
Sigh
editDear Nanaszczebrzeszyn,
I wanted to believe your claims about yourself, about Asstree, Alabama. I really did. It seems calling someone a "fascist" is these days very unpopular, but I suppose you can call them "racist" with impunity. It was also untrue that Google yielded zero hits on "Asstree"; however, the only interesting hits were to a myspace spoof page. But Google is not all-knowing, and having lived in the South, it is not completely unbelievable that a tiny little town has managed to escape the all-seeing eye of the Internet. But it does not escape the all-seeing eye of satellite pictures, and so I spent 20 minutes scouring the boundaries on Marion County, Alabama. I also found a set of directory phone listings for the country. If there is such a town, it (a) still has no roads leading to it or from it, (b) has no major buildings, and (c) does not have any telephones.
Since I am not an admin (nor do I particularly want to be), I do not take a strong viewpoint of whether this article should have been immediately deleted or simply flagged for deletion. However, in my many years, I have come to highly value information that is truthful, accurate, and quasi-verifiable (quasi, given the general limits of verifiability). Perhaps as you mature, you will come to share my viewpoint. Until then, could you please focus your creativity in another manner or venue?
The file File:US map-Southcurrent.PNG has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Orphaned map.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ~ Rob13Talk 17:17, 7 March 2018 (UTC)
