Will Obama Bring a Change?

edit

Barack Obama, Illinois senator and presidential candidate, has risen to the top of this year’s campaign in only a few months. He seems like the right choice with his superb speaking skills and compelling personality. However, do we know his past? Is he just all-talk, or is there meaning behind his words? And my final question: Will Obama even bring a change to our nation? Yes, we all know Obama was born in Hawaii, moved to Indonesia, and graduated from Harvard University. But are there skeletons in his closet that he is hiding? For example, at Trinity United Church of Christ, an openly gay choir leader by the name of Donald Young was murdered; and, Barack is a primary suspect in this case. Then there are undeniable facts. He has a friendship with Bill Ayers, a terrorist and former-member of the anti-American group the "Weathermen". His foreign policy advisor, Robert Maley, blames Israel for everything; and, wants America to have business with Hamas, a radical Palestinian group. Finally, Barrack’s long-time friend and pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, has recently been proven an anti-American racist. Sure, Obama has denounced him; however, they still keep contact. Rev. Wright also is a huge supporter of Dr. Cone, a professor at a Chicago university. Dr. Cone is anti-America, anti-Jew, and ect. This man has also recently stated in his book, “The Jews, French, and other nationalities cannot evolve. They are doomed… White people still have a chance to evolve… African Americans are the elite of this world…” And many of Rev. Wright’s sermons circle around Dr. Cone’s theological ideas. Barack has lied; he has been seen before at some of these sermons. I do not care what people say about Obama denouncing his preacher. He didn’t denounce him until this religious skeleton fell out of his closet and into the media, did he? I know they say, “Don’t mix the church with the state.”, but someone would be crazy to want a person with these twisted ‘values’ to run our country. Now let’s talk about his “powerful” speeches. Is it just me, or in Democratic Debates does he just repeat Senator Clinton? Obama has good speaking skills, but when he talks, he doesn’t make any major points. I give him credit for his speech on racism in America; however, in my opinion, it was only a good speech. But, I’m sure he just read it off the Internet somewhere and thought, “Hey, I could use this for my campaign.” Obama attributes his quick rise in popularity to what he calls “that respectful tone”, which he believes voters have been craving after only hearing “the ugly, dispiriting campaign seasons” since the 1800s. However, I believe there are more factors than his speaking skills going for him such as race, celebrity support, and his religion. Many people, such as Oprah, support him neither because of his beliefs nor because of what he stands for, but for his race. In addition, he now has Al Gore supporting him because of global warming. Finally, his religion, most Americans are Christians; and many of those Christians are Church of Christ. Therefore, it’s not his ‘moving’ speeches that intrigue his voters, but all the other stuff. Obama says he will bring a change, and I agree. I think he will bring a change; but I’m sure it will not be in this nation’s favor. With Barack Obama’s morals, values, and possibly a dark past, I know his change will be a terrible one.

The History of the Idiot

edit

Idiot is a word derived from the Greek ἰδιώτης, idiōtēs ("person lacking professional skill," "a private citizen," "individual"), from ἴδιος, idios ("private," "one's own").[1] In Latin the word idiota ("ordinary person, layman") preceded the Late Latin meaning "uneducated or ignorant person." Its modern meaning and form dates back to Middle English around the year 1300, from the Old French idiote ("uneducated or ignorant person"). The related word idiocy dates to 1487 and may have been analogously modeled on the words prophet and prophecy. The word has cognates in many other languages.

Also it is an offensive term that deliberately insults somebody's intelligence.

Or, an offensive term in a now disused classification system for somebody with an IQ of about 25 or under and a mental age of less than 3 years.

What We Use It For Today
