A tag has been placed on Dona Amelia, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. - thanks for message. she seems to be reasonably notable, it's just a matter of getting decent refs as I indicated on the article talk page. They don't have to be in English, although that would help, but they do need to be genuine third-party sites that her management can't edit and that aren't sales pages or similar. File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Dona Amelia, Singer, Photo Shoot, 2015.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Dona Amelia, Singer, Photo Shoot, 2015.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.
If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. File permission problem with File:Dona the Showstopper at Chill Saigon.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Dona the Showstopper at Chill Saigon.jpg, which you've attributed to Mads Monsen. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Diannaa (talk) 23:40, 4 October 2015 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Dj Ajam
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Dj Ajam, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
- It appears to be a clear copyright infringement of https://www.facebook.com/events/1402144076772479/. (See section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. However, even if you use one of these processes to release copyrighted material to Wikipedia, it still needs to comply with the other policies and guidelines to be eligible for inclusion. If you would like any assistance with this, you can ask a question at the help desk.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Managing a conflict of interest
editHello, Nick.Jonsson75. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. People with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, see the conflict of interest guideline and frequently asked questions for organizations. In particular, please:
- avoid editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, its competitors, or projects and products you or they are involved with;
- instead, propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the
{{request edit}}
template); - avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use require disclosure of your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation.
Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing, and autobiographies. Thank you. Harry Let us have speaks 13:23, 30 November 2015 (UTC)
Re:Dona Amelia
editHello Nick, I'm Tom. Like you I'm human too. You've asked a few questions, so I'm gonna answer them here as best I can and then we can decide where to go from here.
For starters, know that my decision to nominate the page is not, nor should it be construed as, being malicious or malevolent. The issue at hand is the matter of her fame as it relates to our inclusion guidelines - in this case specifically, the governing pages are our notability guidelines and the relevant Biography guidelines for inclusion here. Those guidelines are barometer by which the community decides who gets to stay and who ends up axed on Wikipedia.
Currently, Dona has a rising career, but she lacks any type of major award or major name recognition, leaving her entirely at the mercy of her secondary sources. Dona does have secondary sourcing, but its too little by our current standards, and there are far too many trivial mentions with the external links in the article which lends the perception that this is not so much an article but a trivial collection of links pulled together in the interest of promoting Dona. The External links section is particularly damning here in that its all social media and professional promotion pages, which has inadvertently lent the perception the article's sole purpose is to promote Dona.
That leads us to the next point for which the article is under the deletion block: there are no independent third party sources in the article that provide substantial coverage of Dona. Her lack of major awards or name recognition feeds into this matter, we all know names like Queen Elizabeth or Franklin D. Roosevelt but I've never heard about Dona before, which hurts the hunt for third party sources. Without those the article hasn't got a good foundation, which is in part what got us to the deletion process in the first place.
Lastly, in your case specifically, you've got a declare conflict of interest here in that you've worked with Dona for years, which never plays well at AFD (or any other venue on here for that matter). While this is a non factor in the deletion at present it does suggest that you want the article here for reasons other than encyclopedic value. This is beyond my ability to judge, so I have to assume good faith that this is not case. In any event, the article is not beyond all hope yet - it may be that at the moment its simply too soon for her to have an article on here. If that is indeed the case then under the governing principles of a meritocracy the article may in time be recreated when the sourcing and notability issues have been sufficiently resolved due to her increasing fame.
