Sorry, but I reverted your citing of the XBOX 360 as the console the trailer was running on, as we can't use youtube as a source. I don't really want to, as I am sure it is true, but we have to wait until a reliable source comes along. John Hayestalk 07:24, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
- I've changed my mind, and have re-reverted back to yours (but also left the other ref). I think in this case a youtube source might be allowable, but it still would be better to back it up with another source. John Hayestalk 07:33, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
Style of English on Grand Theft Auto IV
editI reverted your change to the spelling of instalment. Read WP:ENGVAR for reasons to change a style of English used, unless there is a strong reason for why a particular style should be used, there isn't in this case as far as I can tell, the original style should be used. In this case this was British English. In terms of what is in British, there are at least two words which I can find without much effort. If you think there is a strong reason, please discuss this at Talk:Grand Theft Auto IV#Spelling, and establish a consensus that it should be changed, rather than just going against consensus and changing it. Thanks John Hayestalk 16:51, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
- In terms of the reasons you listed, having more American users is not valid, otherwise every article in Wikipedia should be written in American English. Rockstar is just as much a British company as an American one, that isn't a strong reason for change, and it is a subject that is just as relevant to British users as American ones (or Australian or any other form of English). Access date
editHello, I noticed you had a bit of grief with the access date field on the citation for GTA IV. Don't worry we've all been there. The best way around it is to use the ISO 8601 date format (yyyy-mm-dd e.g. accessdate = 2007-08-02) the Wiki software will spot it and automatically link it. And in response to your other edit summary, redlinks are a pain. - X201 21:59, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
- In the cite web/news templates the accessdate should never be wikilinked, but the date variable should be used in the format [[2007-08-03]] John Hayestalk 11:00, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

GTA IV Archive
editHi. When you archived the GTA IV talk page you removed some on-going discussions such as the one about leaks and pirates. Could you restore some of the items from further down the page and only remove the stuff nearer the top? Thanks. ChimpanzeeUK - User | Talk | Contribs 18:09, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
- Never mind, I firgured out how to do it. I thought it would be complicated but it wasn't :) ChimpanzeeUK - User | Talk | Contribs 18:13, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
- In the future, it would be best not to archive any thread which has been commented on in the last 15-30 days. Cheers, xenocidic (talk) 17:04, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

Tone of your comments
edit"I wish I could shoot the people in the face who still think that Niko's not Serbian," is not the most helpful comment in the world. If the nationality of a fictional computer game character means that much to you I suggest you get a different hobbie. Oblonger (talk) 19:29, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

Russian translation
editHello. I was on Wikipedia:Translators available and notice that you were on the list for Russian to English translators and wondered if you could translate Maria Vladimirovna of Staritsa and/or Vladimir of Staritsa? Thanks.--Queen Elizabeth II's Little Spy (talk) 00:05, 30 January 2012 (UTC)
- Hey there! Sorry for the very late response, haven't logged in here for a while. I see the article's still tagged. I'll see what I can do about it. :) I don't have much experience with crafting a large article, but I'll give it a go in any case. --nlitement [talk] 10:47, 1 June 2012 (UTC)
Request for translation/verification
editThere's an issue at Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard#Abkhazian Network News Agency showing video interviews with Houla massacre survivors (plus Syria News) which needs someone with Russian skills to either translate or verify an existing translation of a video report in Russian. If you are available for this task please report your accepting the assignment in the linked thread above, as I'm also making this request to a couple of other Russian translators. __meco (talk) 18:25, 1 June 2012 (UTC)
Content removed
editDear Nlitement:
The Wikimedia Foundation (“Wikimedia”) has taken down content that you posted at Rankings of universities in the United Kingdom because someone alleged that your post infringes on a copyright.
You can see their communication here: http://wikimediafoundation.org/wiki/File:DMCA_News_International.pdf
(At this point, it seems that all you did was update the content, here, but I have been asked to notify both those who originally added it and those who updated it to the 2013 data.)
When someone makes a validly formulated notice of copyright infringement, the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”) requires Wikimedia to take the content down and to notify you that we have removed the content. This notice, by itself, does not mean that anyone is suing you. The take-down requestor might only be interested in removing the content from our site.
- What Can You Do?
You are not obligated to take any action, but if you feel that your content does not infringe on any copyrights, you can contest the take-down request by submitting a ‘counter-notice’ to us. Before doing so, you should understand your legal position and you may wish to consult with an attorney. If you submit a counter-notice, the alleged copyright holder can stop us from restoring the content by suing you. Please note that Wikimedia will not be a party to any legal action that arises from you sending a counter-notice, and that Wikimedia is unable to provide you with legal advice.
- Filing a Counter-Notice
If you choose to submit a counter notice, you must send a letter to legal wikimedia.org asking Wikimedia to restore your content. The letter must comply with DMCA standards and must contain the following:
- A link to where the content was before we took it down;
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe the content was taken down mistakenly;
- Your name, address, and phone number;
- If your address is in the United States, a statement that says “I consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court in the district where my address is located, and I will accept service of process from the person who complained about the content I posted”; or if your address is outside the United States, a statement that says “I agree to accept service of process in any jurisdiction where I can be found”; and finally,
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Pursuant to the DMCA, Wikimedia must inform the alleged copyright holder that you sent us a counter-notice and give the alleged copyright holder a copy of the counter-notice. We will restore the content you posted within ten (10) to fourteen (14) business days, provided that the alleged copyright holder does not give notice of suit to restrain re-posting of the material.
- Miscellaneous
As a matter of policy and under appropriate circumstances, the WMF will block the accounts of repeat infringers as provided under the DMCA.
If you would like to learn more about Wikimedia’s policies, please refer to the Wikimedia Terms of Use, available at http://wikimediafoundation.org/wiki/Terms_of_use and the Wikimedia Legal Policies, available at http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Legal/Legal_Policies.
