Re:Pingshi article

(县址离城区4公里的三星坪村委会)means that the towncentre is 4 kilometers long away from Sanxingping village committee, village committee is a highly villagers self-administration institution under Chinese administrative laws and Constitution. In this article, 三星坪村委会 means a institution not a village as you highlight 三星坪村. Thank you for your attendance to this article's editing. I am a newly member in Wiki, I just want to try editing the article Pingshi but now it's on Wiki's article page, how can I delete it, or let it be clearing by others to look more perfect? lilymou 03:52, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

RE:Follow-up

Thanks for the constructive critisicm. My only comment was that what I was adding onto was already falsified information that negatively critisized a group of people and organization. So in efforts to rectify my mistake that could have been deflected if you treated all documents the same way. Which by this case was not. If that falsified info was not allowed to be enter into the site then I would have had no cause or malice to do so myself, in a poor misjudgment into rectifing and discredit their remarks. Thank you. This I am assuming is the proper way of responding to these, if not I am sorry. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jaspelli (talkcontribs) 20:37, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

BOYCOTT S.KOREA

As of today (May 30, 2008) a small group of Boston, MA have begun to organize and boycott South Korean Products. This is an attempt to dissuade S. Koreans from banning the importing of US Beef products into their country. More to come as events un-fold. Join the boycott, support your country.

The boycott was misplaced not meaning to put in your discussion page. But also saying you dont care doesnt matter, given you called it a soapbox story, its an event in history so I was trying to report on it. I am participating but I did not start the movement. Again, my regards for accidentally placing it within your discussion page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jaspelli (talkcontribs) 18:02, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

High Level Assembly

Hi, you added a {{npov}} tag to this page. Generally, when doing this, you also need to explain your problems on the talk page, so they can be discussed and consensus reached. Hence the wording on the tag, "Please do not remove this message until the dispute is resolved." Currently, there is no dispute on the talk page. Please create one so that discussion can ensue. Hey there! I saw your comments on the translation requests I posted. Yes, the French article is pretty old; I'm currently cleaning up the backlog of articles needing copy edit so I came across it. Fernand Mourlot chronology

Hello, I am new on Wikipedia and I am still trying to figure things out. You deleted the chronology of my grandfather's life. I probably did not enter it properly. I based myself on my cousin's web site, to which I contributed most of... the chronology. I also tried to change the content and sentences, but it's a bit hard on a... chronology as I can't change the dates in history that meeting took place or books were published. How should I fix my entry? What is the proper way to enter that information and is there a way to get that entry back so I can change it? Thanks, Eric Mourlot —Preceding unsigned comment added by Emourlot (talkcontribs) 03:26, 20 July 2008 (UTC)

Hi Robert, thanks for the edit on my grandfather's category. However for 1895, you made his entry under F for "Fernand" his first name, as opposed to M for "Mourlot"... Same for his death in 1988. I don't know how to change this yet. I'm also working on rewriting a chronology from scratch. I may have to wait for my tech guy to come back tomorrow to explain a few things to me. Thanks, Eric --Emourlot (talk) 15:46, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for your all and input help. I know I'm a bit slow and it will take a little time for me to get used to etiquette and how to input info properly. But I appreciate your help and corrections. Now, I'm trying to get outside ref. and links so I can backup what I'm entering. There is so much about my family on the internet that it's confusing and hard to control... Many other commercial sites are using text that is copyrighted or making up info on the history of our business that I thought this would be a good place to clarify things. AutoRun change

When I wrote the article, I always thought in the frame of print media. I deliberately wrote the word companies with a hotlink to Sony BMG to avoid issues that possibly arise from naming companies in a negative context. Phrasing it as companies, such as Sony BMG could possibly illicit the accusation that the author is picking that company out of spite or ignorance (of other companies that were just as guilty).

I'm going to revert some changes anyway, specifically the "customisation" is a spelling error one (by some US centric idiot) and the "Autorun isn't a technology, it's a specificaton", one which is just silly. Although it did point out a paragraph I was uncomfortable with anyway because technically it is incorrect. Also, I'm writing the AutoPlay companion article so those links have to revert too.

I wanted to get your opinion first out of interest (and politeness) first though. Carveone (talk) 16:17, 28 January 2009 (UTC)

Hi Nneonneo.

In november 2008 you added a fact-tag to "Grape Varities" in the Wine article, but you didn't specify what you wanted sourced. You are now a Reviewer

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged revisions, underwent a two-month trial which ended on 15 August 2010. Its continued use is still being discussed by the community, you are free to participate in such discussions. Many articles still have pending changes protection applied, however, and the ability to review pending changes continues to be of use.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under level 1 pending changes and edits made by non-reviewers to level 2 pending changes protected articles (usually high traffic articles). Pending changes was applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

For the guideline on reviewing, see Wikipedia:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't grant you status nor change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here.

If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles 05:27, 15 November 2010 (UTC)

Robert, re: ". . . right now it makes it sound as if educational customers were the only thing that mattered at all to Apple."

I strongly disagree. You will find that '80-'81 was a seriously challenging period for Apple. It had succeeded in the "hacker" business and was struggling to figure how it could get at the "business" market, which wasn't happening with the Apple II. When it turned to LCSI to launch entry to the education market, this was a major turn for Apple. Its success in education/home sustained it until the the Mac found solid footing on desks of all graphic artists, but to this day the penetration of education around the world and in turn the home market, has had positive affect on Apple's presence. The earliest computers in schools from Australia to Moscow to Beijing were Apple IIs with Apple LOGO.

You will also discover that LCSI (Apple LOGO) was the only company that Apple ever allowed to use its actual logo on packaging of Apple LOGO. Additionally, Apple LOGO was distributed and promoted by Apple Computer, . . . another anomaly for Apple. Apple even paid for the full page ads for Apple LOGO that went into such publications as "Bite" or "Personal Computing." This is the only time that Apple advertised a single piece of software. The product was that critical to Apple.

It isn't so much that education was all that mattered, it was that Apple didn't have a real answer for "Business" so Education became a critical strategy for sustaining its initial success.

Thank you.
