"Homosexual male Mallards"

edit

Umm... Can I ask why you think these ducks are homosexual? Male Mallards often hang around together. MeegsC (talk) 16:31, 5 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Good point. Near the lake/at the shooting location, there was a group of four male Mallards loosely hanging around together (left side of the image below) and this male couple (right side of the image below) While the ducks in the loose group kept some distance among each other and occasionally separated, the couple on the right behaved like a heterosexual Mallard duck couple in a way that they always kept very close together and remained separated from the other group. When they moved, one duck of the couple was always very closely following the other one and when they didn't move they frequently established body contact as shown on the set of photos. --NorbertNagel (talk) 18:30, 5 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
