Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBot
editSuggestBot predicts that you will enjoy editing some of these articles. Have fun!
Note: All columns in this table are sortable, allowing you to rearrange the table so the articles most interesting to you are shown at the top. All images have mouse-over popups with more information. For more information about the columns and categories, please consult the documentation and please get in touch on SuggestBot's talk page with any questions you might have.
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better — thanks for helping.
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from Nettrom (talk), SuggestBot's caretaker. -- SuggestBot (talk) 16:52, 4 June 2020 (UTC)
Your submission at Articles for creation: Vijay Kumbhar (January 26)
edit- Hi. The subject of the article was determined to not be notable due to no citation being provided. It was also deleted as it was in draft for a long time without being edited. I discovered this, made my research and requested for the page to be restored and added sources. More than 20 of them! I also found another page on Wikipedia in which the subject was explicitly named. I'd appreciate a review of your decision or advice. Thank you. Nuel Jr (talk) 20:50, 26 January 2024 (UTC)
Welcome to the drive!
editWelcome, welcome, welcome Nuel Jr! I'm glad that you are joining the drive! Please, have a cup of WikiTea, and go cite some articles.

Wikipedia and copyright
editHello Nuel Jr! Your additions to Medjool have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, it's important to understand and adhere to guidelines about using information from sources to prevent copyright and plagiarism issues. Here are the key points:
- Limited quotation: You may only copy or translate a small portion of a source. Any direct quotations must be enclosed in double quotation marks (") and properly cited using an inline citation. More information is available on the non-free content page. To learn how to cite a source, see Help:Referencing for beginners.
- Paraphrasing: Beyond limited quotations, you are required to put all information in your own words. Following the source's wording too closely can lead to copyright issues and is not permitted; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when paraphrasing, you must still cite your sources as appropriate.
- Image use guidelines: In most scenarios, only freely licensed or public domain images may be used and these should be uploaded to our sister project, Wikimedia Commons. In some scenarios, non-freely copyrighted content can be used if they meet all ten of our non-free content criteria; Wikipedia:Plain and simple non-free content guide may help with determining a file's elegibility.
- Copyrighted material donation: If you hold the copyright to the content you want to copy, or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license the text for publication here. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Copying and translation within Wikipedia: Wikipedia articles can be copied or translated, however they must have proper attribution in accordance with Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. For translation, see Help:Translation § License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices. Persistent failure to comply may result in being blocked from editing. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 01:19, 14 June 2024 (UTC)

editHello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to Medjool, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page.
- Please note that you must not attempt to move established articles to odd names without first informing relevant WikiProjects and obtaining consensus on the talk page for the move. In this case, "Medjool" is not only used by Westerners, but also by Arabic speakers such as the Jordanian exporters of dates to the West, so such a consensus appears unlikely --- but you haven't even tried to begin such a discussion, so your move, following earlier editing attempts, is now clearly disruptive. Chiswick Chap (talk) 08:06, 21 June 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for the clarification. I have seen 'Mejhoul' being used rather than 'Medjool', which is why i made the attempt. I think the discrepancies are misleading. Additionally, one of the prominent authors of the Date Palm, Dr Zaid whose book is referenced, used 'Mejhoul', rather than Medjool. These were all what made me move the page. Thank you. Nuel Jr (talk) 08:12, 21 June 2024 (UTC)
- That is good reason for the alternative spelling to be mentioned in the article, which it is already, but insufficient reason to attempt an undiscussed page move. All the best, Chiswick Chap (talk) 08:18, 21 June 2024 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did at Band4Band, you may be blocked from editing. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. Disambiguation link notification for June 26
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Alec Torelli, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Calculated risk. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
