New English School

Just a note, on the page New_English_School_(Jordan), you reverted an IP. The first time (he/she) edited, he just removed a section which was actually just very thought out vandalism, and was reverted by someone else. I suppose he didn't know why he had been reverted, so in his next edit, he just added some text (the edit you saw), and was reverted by you. He did it again, slightly different, and was reverted by you again. I know you obviously didn't know this section was vandalism—there is an established user who has a strange vendetta against this article; I discuss this on the talk page, please see my comments on the discussion page, under the section "User Aua." I tried to help this article before (as this editor, for some reason, had an extreme vendetta against it, even putting a WP:OFFICE tag on it at one point, among very strange/dubious other acts - see the other sections on the talk page). It seems the article doesn't have enough editors looking after it, and as the editor didn't get his way with deleting it (7/7 editors supported it on AfD, but he page-blanked it anyway, his 8-edit switch up: [[1]]), now he's trying to make a WP:POINT by adding egregious information to it and removing all appropriately cited information slowly. Please, some more eyes!

IP is referring to your edit here which was made because blanking an entire referenced section without leaving a message on the talk page is considered vandalism. Your revert was in its place. He tried to do the same thing today, but I reverted him (he did that with other articles too). Should you want to see the article's talk page for the discussion with the IP, be my guest but it's basically the IP trying to promote the school with utter disregard to WP's rules on copyright and advertising while at the same time removing information critical to the school-be it referenced or not- and attacking other editors like myself and User:Roux.

You reverted my edits as TW vandalism after I had left a message on the talkpage. Double standard for you?

That's why I made a comment on the talk page, lol. What's really funny is if you check the references of that "entire referenced section." They're actually bogus. That's what I say on the talk page. Furthermore, Aua continually accuses me of odd things. Like here, "He tried to do the same thing today, but I reverted him;" I'm not that same IP!!! I would (as I did and have done time and again) have mentioned it on the talk page! I am not a student, as he continually asserts (I discuss this on talk). I'm not trying to promote the school. I have told Aua this time and again. Yes, I did that on the John Doe page, but that has nothing to do with this. Look at it and you would probably have done the same thing, that list is extremely against wiki-standards, and I discussed it on the talkpage. The information critical of the school is being added by Aua on purpose; it is a WP:POINT as a reaction to our old conflict on that page, read the talk page. Aua wants the article deleted. I saw that 7/7 AfD editors didn't, so I tried to appropriately save the page. This extremely offended him, now he's trying to slowly degrade the article as a WP:POINT.

Question on recent revert

I just signed up for wikipedia because I felt that there was more to be said about the article relating to Pulsed Laser Deposition. For my first post, I'll admit, it was a bit bland and some of the information was scattered elsewhere in the article. Going forward, do you have any suggestions on how to make additions that won't get reverted by those who patrol wikipedia such as yourself? I don't want to get discouraged too early in this process. Basically what it means is that editors will have to "sight" (review) edits by anonymous and new editors in order to prevent (possible libellous) vandalism. As is typical with stories about Wikipedia, the mass media a) is having a field day and b) have little to no idea what they are talking about, leading to exaggeration, misleading claims, and outright lies. on 1984

Yes, I have read 1984, it really messes with your brain when you read it, such as when Winston is being tortured. George Orwell used to be a socialist/communist, but after fighting in the spanish civil war,and seeing how perverted communism had become, he became highly anti-Stalinism, Stalinism I think was the most popular form of communism amongst politicians, but I think China and Vietnam are now more Leninist (incidently, China is probably the one country that fits the description of Oceana and the other super-powers the most (in my opinion)). His two main anti-Stalinist books where, Animal Farm, in which he explains in a fabel how the pricipals of a revolution get perverted to a point in which nothing has changed at all, and 1984, where he predicts what the world would be like if Stalinists took over.

There are some plot holes in 1984, such as the Ingsoc revolution occuring in 1960, so someone who fought in it could be 44 more or less, yet the book says all knowledge of the past has been eradicated by falsifying the records, yet this imaginary 40 year old could easily remember it. There are a number of possible ways around this, such as mass murder, hypnotism, "forced forgetting", but this isn't really explained. Another thing is the fact that people leave things behind, which are later found by acheologists or ameteurs. This is breifly looked at with the glass coral, but for the most part this two is unexplained.

You said that the different super-powers in Oceana are different forms of socialism, but they are effectively all Stalinists, who only go to war with one another to do the things you described.

Contrary to popular beleif, Stalin wasn't at all interested in war and expansion, he only invaded Finland and East Poland etc. to keep Hitler happy in a vein attempt to prevent war with Germany. His rule was in many respects more similar to the third age of death, with Nikolai Yezhov starting what has been called "the Meat Grinder" during the Great Purge, in which towns were given death quotas and his ministerial building was designed to be like an abatoir. Ultimately he got so powerful that Stalin became afraid of him and he was ultimately consumed by his own "Meat Grinder". It is even possible that Stalin himself was destroyed by the "Meat grinder" in order to prevent world war 3.

I feel sometimes that the Green party are essentially Marxists, and that more extreme groups like the Earth First society are essentially Stalinists (check out the green parties non-enviromental policies and they'll probably be highly Marxist)

You wanted to know what my opinions on oil are. Well, I don't really think about it often, but I think that I'll be more like George Bush. But needs must, I will be interested in investing in energy effecient cars (I myself am interested in building a completely flat car for long distance movements). I would also like to crack down on people (such as my mother) who seem to get into a car for extremely short distances(that can't be good in the long run).

Nice to see some work being done on the article. Unfortunatley, the source only states that Arlene Williamson passed away and Al Williamson subsequently remarried, without providing a date. According to an article in Third Rail #1, he had remarried by 1981, although they don't specify the exact date. I think I'll be able to do some work on the article this week. Good luck!
