Hi! Dr. Cejas's story was covered in CBS News, Teen Vogue and Huffpost, all cited here. In June I created a page for Z Paige L'Erario, a transgender neurologist and writer, with significantly less external coverage by secondary sources and less formal leadership in international societies. I am perplexed as to why the one qualifies and not the other. OligoclonalBand (talk) 23:50, 26 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

I've left a comment on your Articles for Creation submission, which can be viewed at Draft:Yasmin Khakoo. Thanks! CNMall41 (talk) 02:27, 27 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
Are there new standards? I'm looking at the Wikipedia pages of other neurologists and I don't see additional external verification - often there is little beyond their institutional page.
Khakoo has additional info at a national society, is mentioned in a published textbook on the history of child neurology, and is editor in chief of a major journal (which is verifiable on the journal's masthead).
If there are new standards, I apologize. 174.174.54.144 (talk) 07:53, 27 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Much of the info came from this seminal textbook on the history of child neurology, which has a three-page spread on Singhi, because she is the president of the ICNA: https://www.amazon.com/Child-Neurology-Origins-Founders-Evolution/dp/0128216352
Other info came from the International Child Neurology Association, which is an international association of child neurologists. It seems to me that being president of this organization alone would warrant having a Wikipedia page. I added that she was featured in a game because I thought it demonstrated that she is notable, but am happy to remove all reference to it. OligoclonalBand (talk) 16:10, 28 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, this isn't me (I've never met Singhi) and while I am happy to take out the list of papers I think it's interesting that it has never been critiqued on articles I've written about male neurologists. Pratibha Singhi is the president of an international organization. She's featured in a textbook (which I had nothing to do with, I found her there) because she literally started pediatric neurology in India - you can click on the link and see the first page of the essay for free. I get that it's harder for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a woman to have her accomplishments valued but this is pretty ridiculous. I can put it on Twitter and crowd-source it, if you'd like. If others don't think she's notable I'll drop it. OligoclonalBand (talk) 05:02, 29 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello and thank you again for the excellent bios you’ve contributed on women in neurology. I wanted to let you know that if you encounter any difficulties in the future, there is a WikiProject (a voluntary collective of editors with a shared interest in the subject matter) eager to help out.
