Looking at this again

OK, so I've been busy for the past 24 hours, but I think its worth looking at this again.

  • Firstly there is User:Omer123hussain123, if you actually look at that users contributions which are listed on their talk page it is quite obvious that they are the same user as this one. However, it is quite clear that they haven't tried to deceive anyone with that account that isn't sock-puppetry. Most of the people on Arbcom have multiple accounts, and the name is also obvious. If I setup Eraserhead2 and stuck all of my contributions on that user page, I don't think anyone could really accuse me of socking. The only guideline breeched with that account is WP:CANVASS
  • Secondly there is User:Woodenmetal, they've edited similar pages, so assuming they aren't this guys room-mate that is in breach of "Contributing to the same page or discussion with multiple accounts:" however it isn't a particularly serious breech, as its in article space rather than on the talk page. Its not anywhere near as serious as User:BabbaQ who user their sockpuppets to get additional content posted on the main page but double-voting in discussions. Additionally if we assume good faith the idea that this person is a roommate of User:Omer123hussian is certainly at least a plausible theory. The chances are in a poorer country like India that college students share rooms, and almost certainly computers and IP addresses.
  • Thirdly there is User:Googly1236 who created their account back in November and has made exactly 2 edits since, both to their userpage. Even if they are the same user as Omer123hussain it is irrelevant as they haven't possibly tried to deceive anyone.
  • Finally there is User:Mujahid Ahmad, who could possibly be a sock, and in which case one that has been used deceptively, however their userpage looks totally different from Omer123hussain, and their writing style doesn't appear to be the same. Chances are though they are a meatpuppet with Omer123hussain and that is also not allowed, but is less obviously "wrong" which is one of the claims made above.

Given that information, at worst, this user has two sockpuppet accounts, User:Woodenmetal and User:Mujahid Ahmad and so its quite clear that the administrators who have claimed there are four sockpuppet accounts have avoided completing due diligence in this case.

Additionally there is a good chance that there are only meatpuppets in this case which the user here has actually already admitted - as he has admitted discussing his edits with his friends. Certainly if we assume good faith, which we should do, that seems like the most likely scenario.

With regards to the content, I'm not remotely interested in this editors POV, I just think that writing articles like Spanish Mosque, Old City, Hyderabad and Amjad Hyderabadi in a month - as well as numerous other contributions is pretty impressive. I do think this matter needs to be handled consistently with cases like User:BabbaQ and that as the Wikimedia foundation suggests we need to encourage new editors. If it isn't handled appropriately here I will escalate the matter until it is resolved reasonably. -- Eraserhead1 <talk> 09:56, 21 May 2011 (UTC)

So I think this block could be lifted, but Omer: please clearly address the issue. Review WP:MEAT and talk about how you'll avoid engaging in that in the future. Address the account Omer123hussain123, which you still haven't commented on: was this yours? Mangojuicetalk 20:42, 22 May 2011 (UTC)
Hi, and Good day to all, yes the id Omer123hussain123 is made by me for the purpose to maintain all my research work stored there, what i experienced is that some of my articles were deleted in my first launch ( for example: Dairat al Maarif later allowed ) so i want to use this id as a work shop and store all the references and research. if that is not allowed I am extremely sorry for that and you may delete the id Omer123hussain123 and let me use only Omer123hussain, it shall be a great opportunity for me. Kindly do the needful. --Omer123hussain (talk) 05:45, 23 May 2011 (UTC)
I'm happy to help add the appropriate tags to both accounts so that its clarified once both are unprotected. -- Eraserhead1 <talk> 17:54, 23 May 2011 (UTC)

Do you admit to using more than one Wikipedia account? Yes/No
Do you promise to only use one account in the future? Yes/No
Do you promise not to edit war on articles? Yes/No
Do you promise to adhere to the policy on editing using a neutral point of view? Yes/No
If you can say "Yes" to these four questions, I will unblock you. I don't care about or believe your stories about room-mates or expatriates. I will happily block you again if you abuse multiple accounts, edit war, or edit with a clear bias. Fences&Windows 02:23, 28 May 2011 (UTC)
You have access to your talk page back - last chance. Mess this up and you can wave goodbye to editing Wikipedia. Fences&Windows 02:35, 28 May 2011 (UTC)

Old city in Hyderabad is a part of Hyderabad right? So, you'll have to change the type field to an appropriate one. Cheers! Abhishek Talk to me 04:16, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
thanks for the correction, ya! old city is the part of hyderabad, when rulers nizams shifted there capital from Aurangabad to hyderabad, they first fortified Hyderabad city by walls, later on when city expanded the region beyond the walls and west of the River Musi that region is refered as new city and the enternal walled city as old city of hyderabad, later they founded one more region attached to hyderabad is secunderabad . (same as old delhi and new delhi), therfore the city regions are reffered as ( old city, new city, secunderabad ), may you proceed for the suitable type correction, regards.....--Omer123hussain (talk) 03:32, 5 June 2011 (UTC)
this link may help you to give the correct type |here, or plz advice me how i can correct the type. Thanks and regards --Omer123hussain (talk) 04:40, 5 June 2011 (UTC)
I've changed the type field. But the article has some issues. There's lot of text that is undue (eg: Gang Wars, Attacks on recognized personnel, Shopping). Added to that, the article requires a lot of copyediting. Abhishek Talk to me 05:37, 5 June 2011 (UTC)
Ok, to neutralize the article can we remove this sub sections (Gang Wars, Attacks on recognized personnel) and rename the section (Shopping) to Bazaar's.
  • actually, the region of old city is known for hystorical bazaars, deccani urdu, cuisen, monoments and communial riots, (which occur timely now and then) and that is what i tried to cover in this article. kindly advice.

--Omer123hussain (talk) 06:03, 5 June 2011 (UTC) for gang wars and riots in old city, please check | this, | this, | this and | this. if this can justify the sub section, otherwise we can remove it upon your advice, Thanks and Regards --Omer123hussain (talk) 06:16, 5 June 2011 (UTC)

Hi, Abhishek kindly advice shall we rename the section (1) (Shopping) to Bazaars and (2) Shall we remove the sub section (Gang Wars, Attacks on recognized personnel ) as discussed earlier. --Omer123hussain (talk) 06:06, 8 June 2011 (UTC)
Gang wars and attack on personnel are irrelevant and should be removed. Actually mentioning shopping too is inappropriate per WP:NOTDIR. Abhishek Talk to me 15:54, 8 June 2011 (UTC)

Removed and renamed kindly see [here] and [here], thanks for correction and advice.--Omer123hussain (talk) 04:09, 9 June 2011 (UTC)

can any one guide me to create a sub page (ex: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Omer123hussain/workshop), the reason to create is to store my reasearch work, when required i can use it. Thanks and Regards. --Omer123hussain (talk) 06:03, 15 June 2011 (UTC)

If you're talking about a sub page that contains your username, then you can actually do it yourself if you go the titled page you want (such as User:Omer123hussain/Test) and place whatever you want on that page. That simple, I hope this helps. SwisterTwister (talk) 06:13, 15 June 2011 (UTC)

Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh - precision similar to US articles

No city in the United States nor United Kingdom uses ", United States" or ", United Kingdom". Why can't we have that for India? They use Columbus, Ohio or something like that. Why can the states of India not be treated on the same level as U.S. states? Bogdan Nagachop (talk) 14:05, 27 July 2011 (UTC)

Why Hyderabad, India?

Thus i believe that reserving it with the name Hyderabad, India will be better, In terms of articles constructive manner. regards --Omer123hussain (talk) 21:48, 27 July 2011 (UTC)

help required for image upload

Is it ok if i upload image (Hyderabadi Biryani) from these sites [[1]], [[2]], [[3]], [[4]] and [[5]]. as the same image is used repeatedly in the above listed multiple different sites. --Omer123hussain (talk) 19:43, 10 August 2011 (UTC)

If you are the publisher or photographer, absolutely. However, if you aren't the publisher, do you have consent from the website to use those images? Take a look at Wikipedia:Uploading images, if it helps. I hope I answered your question, SwisterTwister talk 04:49, 11 August 2011 (UTC)

no I am not the publisher, Is it must to have consent if the image is used in multiple sites and even in blogs, thus i wish if it can be used on WC.--Omer123hussain (talk) 09:08, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
Unfortunately use on multiple sites is no guarantee that the image has been released for general public use. It may be that permission has been given for use in limited circumstances, but not for general use by anyone. It may also be that some of the uses are unauthorised, which is especially likely in the case of blogs, as many people seem to think that anything can be posted to blogs. Bollywood

You are kindly asked to stop edit warring on the Bollywood page. The lingua franca of Bollywood is Hindi, and that's its official name, as supported by the Britannica source. The presence and the use of Urdu are further mentioned in the section (I just added more information re Urdu). Whether the writers were Hindi-Urdu or not is not relevant to the issue. Actually, as another source says, today, English is starting to take Urdu's place. And I repeat, please no edit wars, else I will have to turn for admin help. Thank you, ShahidTalk2me 16:12, 23 August 2011 (UTC)

Which reply? If you have anything to reply to me, then please reply on my talk page. ShahidTalk2me 18:22, 23 August 2011 (UTC)
There's nothing wrong with using "unadorned Hindi", and there's absolutely nothing confusing or unencyclopedic about it. As I stated above, the lingua franca is Hindi - that's what should be mentioned first and foremost, and that's properly cited to a source from Encyclopedia Britannica, called "Encyclopedia of Hindi Cinema". The main language of hindi cinema is obviously... Hindi. As I said, the presence and the use of Urdu are further mentioned in the section in the following sentences, ditto for English. As for your claim that you did nothing wrong... well, you did. You added something that went against what the supporting sources stated. Everything is fairly presented with sources (just read a little more and you'll find info about Urdu), including the presence of urdu, so, as you said, you can definitely be already proud with that. Thank you. ShahidTalk2me 18:40, 23 August 2011 (UTC)

On 12 May, you pasted content into Muhammad Hamidullah from [6]. An earlier version of the article has been restored, as in this edit you added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images.I see you have been advised of copyright policies subsequent to adding this material; if you have any lingering misunderstandings, please review Wikipedia:Copy-paste. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Moonriddengirl (talk) 11:04, 28 August 2011 (UTC)

Given the repeated notes you've gotten above about copyright, I felt I needed to evaluate to make sure that you have understood and complied with copyright in other articles. I'm sorry to say that the article List of riots in Hyderabad is not compliant with our copyright policies. While I can see and appreciate that you were very careful to document your sources, I'm afraid that copyright concerns require considerably more work to avoid.

In a nutshell, Wikipedia's approach to using previously published text is as follows: If you can prove that your source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you can copy as much as you like as you not only cite your source but acknowledge that content is copied. Doing the latter keeps you in compliance with our guideline on Wikipedia:Plagiarism. If you cannot prove this, you cannot copy from your sources, except for brief, clearly marked quotations that have to be used for good reasons, such as attributing a point of view. (See Wikipedia:Non-free content). Otherwise, the information you take from sources needs to be put entirely in your own words (being careful not to paraphrase too closely) while retaining the original meaning. Even though you don't use their words, you still must cite your source so we know where the information came from.

It is important, of course, that you abide by copyright policies going forward, but it is also important that we clean up any content added to Wikipedia already that does not conform to these policies. I've confirmed that content has been copied from at least three of the sources of this article. Since we will not be able to get permission from all of these news agencies, the article will need to be rewritten. It has been blanked and listed at the copyright problems board to give you or others time to rewrite it. If you don't, it may be rewritten, reduced or deleted altogether after a week, when it comes time for an administrator (whether me or another) or copyright clerk to close it.

I recommend you first read through the section on rewriting content here. If you wish to rewrite the material, you can do so at this page. Please don't copy over the content from the original article to get yourself started. While you can copy over categories, infoboxes, "see also", external reading and references, you should start with fresh text. Rewriting sentence by sentence is very difficult to do, and it often results in proposed rewrites being refused.

You're welcome to come by my talk page if you have questions about this or any other matters related to copyright. Meanwhile, I will be looking at a few other articles from your history to determine if the problem was widespread enough to require a more thorough evaluation. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 11:28, 28 August 2011 (UTC)

Other concerns

  • I'm afraid that a more recent article of yours, Pearls Industry of Hyderabad, also contains content copied and closely paraphrased from its sources. It looks to me as though you are working to rewrite material, but I'm afraid you are still following too closely. You can see some of the issues that attract my attention at the duplication detection report on one source; I have detailed some specific passages of concern at the article's talk page. That list is not exhaustive, but some of the clearer examples of the problem that I have found.
I am requesting another administrator or a copyright clerk to look at this one before closure, as I believe it is not as severe an issue as the earlier examples I've found. However, I believe that taking is too extensive to allow it to remain published as it is and that it needs rewriting, particularly because I have not compared with all of the sources but have found at least minimal issues with every source I've checked. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 12:12, 28 August 2011 (UTC)

As I have now removed some copied and closely paraphrased content from Veiled Rebecca of Salar Jung Museum and Andhra Pradesh Police Academy, I do believe that a more systematic review of content will be necessary.

one example from Veiled Rebecca of Salar Jung Museum, created August 25

I will be opening a contributor copyright investigation to make sure that we have the opportunity to fully evaluate these articles and make sure that any remaining content that is in violation of our copyright policy is deleted or rewritten. I'll leave you more information once it is open. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 12:37, 28 August 2011 (UTC)

I have opened a contributor copyright investigation (CCI) to facilitate review for potential problems. You may wish to watchlist this at Wikipedia:Contributor copyright investigations/20110828.
The purpose is simply to make sure that any outstanding issues are addressed. Because of the backlog in the area, it will probably be some time before review is complete, although since other volunteers may choose which ones to work on, sometimes more recent listings such as yours with fewer articles to consider may be processed more quickly.
You should not expect to receive individual notices if problems are found within articles, which is why you should watch that page. The main purpose of the notices is to make sure you are aware of policy and potential ramifications; you are. You should also now be aware of how and where to rewrite content as needed, but if you have any questions about that, please feel free to come by my talk page.
Learning to balance quotation and writing in your own words is a tricky proposition on Wikipedia, but it is an important one to master. We do have to make sure that our articles are fully compliant with US copyright law.
The best way you can help with this to benefit Wikipedia is to keep an eye on the articles on this list and to rewrite any that are found to contain problems. You can also proactively rewrite any that you believe may be problems by simply replacing the existing article, but please note at the talk page and at Wikipedia:Contributor copyright investigations/20110828 that you have done so. I do not recommend when you rewrite using any of the text of the original, as it is hard to avoid creating a derivative work that way. It is almost always best practice to start from scratch.
To place notes at the CCI page, please put them below the listing, like so:
  • I found a problem and rewrote the article. --~~~~
Volunteers will still need to check the articles to mark them clear, but this can avoid people judging the articles solely by your earlier edits if you have replaced the entire contents.
Again, if you have any questions, please let me know. I'll be watching your talk page for a time, and you are always welcome to come to mine. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:12, 28 August 2011 (UTC)
Since your second question shows some confusion with process, I'll try to explain a bit further.
Articles that are blanked and listed on the copyright problems board are retained there for at least seven days. During that time, you have the opportunity to fix any of the problems by either getting permission to use the text or rewriting it. At the end of that time, one of several outcomes are possible:
(1) If you've rewritten the text, and the rewrite is not a copyright problem, the current article will be replaced with your rewrite. I told you above where the rewrite is supposed to go; the template blanking the articles tells you this as well. (If the rewrite is a copyright problem, the time may be extended to allow you to rewrite it more. But it's also possible that the rewrite will be deleted and one of the other options implemented.)
(2) If you haven't rewritten the text and permission to use it hasn't been given to us by the copyright holder, the article may be deleted or, alternatively, reduced to a very short article that does not contain any of the text.
It is also possible that another contributor will rewrite the content, as any contributor is welcome to do this.
In terms of the article Pearls Industry of Hyderabad, I have placed some of the examples of problems I see at Talk:Pearls Industry of Hyderabad. I'm afraid that we don't have the option to retain copyright problems in publication while we work on rewriting; we are required to remove the content until problems are repaired. I do understand that this is difficult, and I'm sorry, as it seems obvious that you are working on the problem, but copyright is a legal matter, and we have to be careful with it.
I hope that after you have read the section I placed below some of my concerns about Pearls Industry of Hyderabad will be more clear.
In case this is not clear, the list of your articles is located at Wikipedia:Contributor copyright investigations/20110828. The volunteers who do copyright cleanup will eventually go through every article there and either note that they have or have not found problems. This is the page I have asked you to watch if you want to see when problems have been found. It is at that page where I suggest if you wish to leave notes, you do so in the manner described.
If you look at that page, you will see that the very first line looks like this:
This is a note of an article to which you've contributed. The N means you created the article. It is followed by the title of the article and a list of how many edits you made and how long they are. This is followed by a link to your edit.
An investigator will follow that link and look at the content for copyright problems. If you know there are going to be copyright problems, you do not have to wait for somebody else to identify them. You can simply rewrite the article and say that you have done so. To say that you have done so, you would add a note, like this:
  • I rewrote this article already because I know I copied content from one of the source.
That would then look like this:
  • I rewrote this article already because I know I copied content from one of the source.
That way, investigators will know what you have done. Otherwise, they might find the same problem you already cleaned and, not realizing you've cleaned it, blank the article again. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 14:08, 28 August 2011 (UTC)

The best overview we have on copyright policies on Wikipedia is Wikipedia:Copy-paste. Information on copyright in general is more widespread, especially because different countries have different rules. A simple overview is at Simple:Copyright. The law that governs Wikipedia here is the law of the United States, because that's where Wikipedia is located. The US Government website is the best place to go to read (a lot!) about it, but it's down for maintenance right now. :/ I doubt it will be down for long.

Basically, if content is copyrighted (and most sources we use--books, magazines, newspapers, websites are) the ideas and facts in your sources are free for you to use, but the actual means of expression (the words and sometimes the arrangement) are not. You can take ideas and information from your sources, but except for brief and clearly marked quotations (I'll talk more about that in a minute), you have to put everything else in your own words. Putting it in your own words usually means not only changing the language they used, but changing the structure. The US courts do not regard it as rewriting if you just substitute some of the language.

For instance, we see a lot of this kind of thing:

In the end, all the sailors on the ship were convinced to abandon the mutiny except the first mate, who was confined to his quarters until the ship docked, whereupon he was summarily hanged, unrepentant. (source)
At last, all the sailors were talked out mutinying but the first mate, who was locked in his quarters until the ship landed, when he was summarily hanged, unrepentant. (unacceptable rewrite)

This rewrite uses the exact same structure of the source (time, all but him, who experienced this) and some of the same language.

How something like this can be handled

The best thing to do is to find other sources that talk about the same event, so you can kind of weave together information from both. Along with using different language, this will help you overcome any issues with copying the organization of the text. For instance, suppose I found a source that said:

After the mutiny began to lose steam, first mate John Smith attempted to carry it forward by sheer force of will. Ranting and raving, he tried by failed to rally his friends, and he was ultimately subdued by a group of his former conspirators, led by the ship's navigator. For three days thereafter, he was locked in his cabin, receiving minimal food through a slot in his door, with no companion, as he continued to urge everyone within hearing to join him in deposing the captain.

I would take this information from both sources:

  • The mutiny was abandoned
  • The first mate John Smith wouldn't abandon the mutiny
  • The former mutineers subdued and imprisoned John Smith in his cabin
  • John Smith didn't give up
  • When they docked, they hanged him

And I might craft it into something like this:

All the mutineers save first mate John Smith eventually surrendered their rebellion. Smith, subdued and restricted to his cabin by the very people who had once rebelled alongside him, tried from his confinement to persuade bypassers to take up the mutiny again. They would not, and he was hanged when the ship was docked three days later.

If I can't find another source, I will sometimes sacrifice a bit of detail to help avoid following too closely. If I only had the original source, I might write:

The mutiny ended when all the sailors except the first mate were persuaded to give it up. The first mate was confined and later hanged.

To successfully rewrite something, you need to fully grasp what is being said and explain it in your own words.

The essay Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing contains some suggestions for rewriting that may help avoid these issues. The article Wikipedia:Wikipedia Signpost/2009-04-13/Dispatches, while about plagiarism rather than copyright concerns, also contains some suggestions for reusing material from sources that may be helpful, beginning under "Avoiding plagiarism".

I see you've left another note while I've been working on this. I'll wrap this up, then, and see what you've asked since. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:57, 28 August 2011 (UTC)

great, thanks for helping me to learn to rewrite the articles. i will practice to follow the policy. thou i will practice and follow the copyright policy meanwhile Is it ok, when i create a new article, i shall seek help from you or any administrator for correction or is there any particular place where i can notify my new article for correction of copyright policy.--Omer123hussain (talk) 14:16, 28 August 2011 (UTC)
You are certainly welcome to seek feedback. Due to work issues, I am not available during the week as much I used to be, but if you leave a note at my talk page I will try to respond within a few days. The more complex the article, the more time it will probably take me to get back with you. :) It's easiest if you ask very clear questions (Like "Is this sentence a problem from this source?") I'm afraid that there isn't really a place where you can ask others to correct your articles, as we don't have enough volunteers or administrators to provide this service. :/ What we really need to do is make sure that we help you reach the point where correction is not necessary.
Because I interrupted what I was writing to answer your other question, I didn't get back to quotations. I'll say something about that in a new section. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 14:20, 28 August 2011 (UTC)

Quotations

Sometimes, you can copy content from copyrighted or unfree sources. We are allowed and even sometimes encouraged to use brief, clearly marked quotations from our sources when we need to in order to (for example):

  1. illustrate a point
  2. establish context, or
  3. attribute a point of view or idea.

The tricky part here is that we can't use their text just because we liked the way they said something. There needs to be some good reason to use their words, and we have to acknowledge that in our text.

To acknowledge it, we name the person we're quoting (or the book, or newspaper, etc.)

According to The New York Times...
Historian Jane Smith wrote....
Frommer's Guide to India says...

And then we enclose their words (entirely) in quotation marks.

Historian Jane smith wrote, "The mutiny on the USS Belladonna is perhaps the most unusual mutiny in the recorded history of the United States."

Finally, every time we quote them, we cite the source, immediately after the quotation.

Quotations have to be brief. There isn't an actual word count, I'm afraid, but as a rule of thumb you should keep your quotations as short as possible. As much as we can, we are required to present information in our own words, only using quotations from others to support what we have ourselves said. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 14:30, 28 August 2011 (UTC)

References for Muhammad Hamidullah

Hi. Per your request, this is the complete list of references for the article prior to the reversion of the content:

With respect to the others, you are able still to retrieve those yourself, as I explained at my talk page. I'll repeat the procedure here where you can perhaps more easily access it as needed:

If you go to the tabs along the top of any article, you will see the "history" option. Clicking on it will show you a list of every edit ever made to the article. Unless some of these have been "revision deleted" by an administrator (in which case there is a line striking through it), you can click on it to see how the article looked at that given point.
For example, with Dairat al Maarif, you would go to the second in the list--right before I blanked it--and click on the date. Doing that opens this window. If you then click "edit this page", you will be able to get the references from that version. It is very important, though, that you do not hit "save" when doing this, as that will restore the copyright problem to publication. (Sorry for the bold text, but that is really important. :)) You can select what you want, hit copy, and then paste it into the rewrite window (which in that case is this one).

If this isn't clear or it gives you any trouble, please let me know. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 10:47, 31 August 2011 (UTC)

Thanks a lot lot Moonriddengirl, as i am bit engaged in eid activities for this 2 days, from tomorrow i will start working for the article Muhammad Hamidullah.

Delhi blast

Salaam. I have noticed that you created an article at 7 September 2011 Delhi High Court blast. However, I have detected a duplicate created by another user at Delhi High Court Blast 7 September 2011. I think we should consider merging the articles. Mar4d (talk) 11:09, 7 September 2011 (UTC)

And yet another one at 7 September 2011 Delhi blast. I am going to perform the merger per WP:BOLD into one location. Thus, your information may be copied (just to notify you). Mar4d (talk) 11:22, 7 September 2011 (UTC)

Hyderabad article

there is enough authentic information /acceptable no of images, about the article, mr omer, i request u please stop making frequent changes and disruptions, how many minor corrections u want to make per hour???

economy - blatant argument / personal opinion - the image speaks about Hyderabad economy and infrastructure, it is important to add images related to infrastructure, roads are a part of infrastructure.

the image was deleted, so i added it , ur argument not acceptable - use talk page - the image talks about size of the studio not Buses, the image also displays the studios. Delhi moghul garden replica is seen in the main article of ramoji film city (Eeenadu (talk) 06:24, 13 September 2011 (UTC)).

Kindly check my reply on the related talk page Hyderabad, India.--Omer123hussain (talk) 10:14, 13 September 2011 (UTC)

Hiii

read the points carefully - You are completely deleting images

  • you are deleting the images and not replacing them in original article. (this called vandalism)
  • Here in Ramoji film city article, you have deleted the previous image and replaced the Moghul garden replica image from the Ramoji film city article.
  • You are free to replace moghul garden image, Only if u replace the image i posted back to Ramoji film city aticle, but your are comeplety deleting the valuable pictures, and u are making them lost in edit summaries with your disruptive edits.
  • when it comes to raj bahavan road, I am not going to accept your abuses / personal opinons on a fellow editor. The section talks about Hyderabad infrastructure, that inlcudes an image related to Roads also.
  • three images per section is acceptable, i request your kindself to stop USING YOUR PERSONAL OPINIONS.
(Eeenadu (talk) 11:24, 13 September 2011 (UTC)).

now ur free to replace Ramoji film city image which u like and replace, the image i posted in original article. (I dont have any issues, I am not interested in edit war like u) but I am clearly not going to accept your take on Raj bhavan road, image, (it is not showing that Hyderabad has roads and vehicles) it is indicating one of the commercially prominent streets of Hyderabad, you check other metropolitan cities on this.

(Eeenadu (talk) 11:43, 13 September 2011 (UTC)).

further, I have changed the description of raj bhavan road image, which shows why the image is important I am not interested in ur queries on this anymore (Eeenadu (talk) 11:53, 13 September 2011 (UTC)).

I dont think so, u elaborate ur edit summaries on Hyderabad talk page, edit summary image and fellow editors talk page, u dont have to explain to the whole world what ur editing, keep ur edit summaries simple and brief, dont write stories of ur edits, minor fixes and something like replaced full stop with comma etc in the discussion pages of articles and users. U are free to undo my edits and correct me (Eeenadu (talk) 12:00, 13 September 2011 (UTC)).

As per ur request, I replaced RamOji film city image without Bus. (Eeenadu (talk) 12:11, 13 September 2011 (UTC)).

Speedy deletion nomination of Mushriff Mall

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Mushriff Mall requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Image in Hyderabad, India

Hi Omer, User:Eeenadu recently replaced the Rajbhavan road image with the image: File:Abids hyderabad.jpg. This image was removed as the edit was made by a blocked user. However, I feel that this image better represents the economy of the city than just a pic of the road. What do you say? Lynch7 14:40, 14 September 2011 (UTC)

Clearly, such voices should not be heard. Just a road does not represent anything. Its the stuff that makes the road: the shops and establishments that give the road the popularity. Lynch7 15:39, 14 September 2011 (UTC)
So can I go ahead and replace the road image? Lynch7 16:06, 14 September 2011 (UTC)

Sry abt removal

Hi. The reason I removed Sania and Saina's names was that they aren't native to Hyd. Just add their names in a separate sentence like this "Sania Mirza and Saina Nehwal, accomplished ..... were brought up and received their training in Hyd in ....." because it is misunderstood that they belong to the city. Anyway, we are about to get this nominated for GA, which will most probably be successful. Cheers to you! Secret of success Talk to me 15:38, 16 September 2011 (UTC)

Your edits on Hyderabad

Omer, your edit was undone by Secret of Success. Per the WP:BRD policy, you should now discuss instead of reinstating those. And yeah you are in the brink of an edit war. Please be careful on that. I hope you remember the admin Fences and Windows' conditions that if you even edit war, he would block you again (which seems like it would be indefinitely) and if this ever happened (which should never), you stand no chances of getting unblocked. I would not want to see this happen. The least you should have done is just take the issue to the talk page instead of reverting it, but for now since you've already reverted it, just keep the discussion going. I hope I made my point clear.  Abhishek  Talk 16:18, 8 October 2011 (UTC)

Sources

Omer, please please stop adding unreliable sources to Hyderabad, India. I want the article to become a GA as badly as you, and it will not be achieving the status if you subject it to third-grade sites. Thomex.com is a site which copies info from wiki, and you add it there, means what? Please go through Wp:RS as many times as possible. Or, post the sources you are adding to the talk page for verification, at the very least! Thanks and no offense here. Secret of success Talk to me 15:42, 9 October 2011 (UTC)

this. Secret of success Talk to me 16:00, 9 October 2011 (UTC)
I apologize, thanks for pointing it out. I was half watching a movie and got distracted :D in adding the info. I just wanted to support the statements using it, remove the 70% if you want. I found an outdated link speaking about the amount of sewage in the river, but that's all about it. Secret of success Talk to me 17:08, 9 October 2011 (UTC)
No, it doesn't say anything about the percentage of sewage in the musi river. You are misunderstanding, page 374 says "15% of the total waste water in the city is industrial waste" and "80% of the city's water is converted to waste supply" and "550000 m3 day-1 is the amount of sewage the river carries" If you put that the river carries 15% of the city's garbage, it fails Wp:Synth which says that combining two sources, do not make a third party outcome which is supported by neither. Secret of success Talk to me 17:29, 9 October 2011 (UTC)
Yes, I don't think it ought to remain there unless a source can be found for it. Remove it for now. Secret of success Talk to me 11:52, 10 October 2011 (UTC)

Re:Musi river

The Hindu, by all means is a reliable source and it clearly says that "It was known as Muchukunda river long ago, and is a.k.a. 'the river of Moses' with a tributary Esi, named after Isa (Jesus), one learns." And you need to provide a link for the book or whatever it is in the original article. If details aren't available for the book, replace it with this source. Secret of success Talk to me 11:19, 11 October 2011 (UTC)

Very well. The book is sufficient then, I guess. Secret of success Talk to me 12:08, 11 October 2011 (UTC)
