Ultimate Marvel

edit

I think what you did with Ultimate Spider-Man (story arcs) is genius, although I think I saw a talk page or edit summary where you said it was OK to redirect your work (blasphemy, those pages are perfect). Anyways, if you feel like working on something, I'm trying to do what you did to Ultimate X-Men (story arcs) and Ultimate Fantastic Four (story arcs) and could use help. - Peregrine Fisher 09:31, 7 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your kind words. Well, as far as WP:WAF is served, any solution is OK for me. —Onomatopoeia 08:51, 8 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
Greetings! After two months of rewriting, reorganizing, and referencing, Ultimate X-Men (story arcs)is now undergoing a WikiProject Comics peer review. Free free to check out the discussion as we work toward improving the article to A-class status. Thanks for your time! - fmmarianicolon | Talk 06:49, 15 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Transformers (fiction)

edit

I've been modelling this page on your work with Storm (comics) and I was wondering if you'd read it, then send me some feedback on my talk page. Thanks. Wiki-newbie 13:11, 8 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

That's neat, though I did enjoy using the article to piece together the stories. Thing is, you've missed out on the fact that there is no canon in Transformers. What can I do then to enforce that? Wiki-newbie 16:43, 8 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Russell & Robertson

edit

I added a list of all the articles up for FA and GA to the WP:NBA page. Just thought I'd let you know as you have two of the articles. Quadzilla99 00:12, 11 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

I also informed several members of the NBA Wikiproject about Russell's FAC so we should get enough votes and I nominated Russell for the next release version of Wikipedia. Oh and before I forget:
  The Working Man's Barnstar
I, Quadzilla99, hereby award you with the Working Man's Barnstar award for all the time and effort you spent bettering the Bill Russell and Wilt Chamberlain articles. I can't tell you how happy I was to see you start working on the Chamberlain article as I know it will soon be of very good quality now. Thanks! Quadzilla99 11:01, 14 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
Gee, wowee!! :DDDD —Onomatopoeia 11:05, 14 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Barnstar

edit

Hey, thanks for the Barnstar about the Feyenoord article :) Much appreciated. You requested an update for the Helmond Sport article as well, but when I see your userpage I don't see that you're Dutch. So if you are not, I am wondering what your connection with Helmond Sport is? I don't think I'm able to expand it as much as I did with the Feyenoord article, but with a little bit of luck and resourcing I might be able to improve the quality of the article some day.   On 18 February, 2007, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article 100 point game, which you created or substantially expanded. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the "Did you know?" talk page.

Bill Russell

edit

Hiya,

We're having a discussion at the Bill Russell talk page as to whether the section on his Olympics accomplishments should come before or after the information about the NBA draft. Come opine! Zagalejo 16:29, 22 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

NBA Championship templates

edit

Hey, Onoma.

I'm gonna give ya a hand by starting to work on the NBA championship templates, numbers, collapsability and all (basically I'll just borrow the code you've been using and switch the names and colors and stuff, if that's okay-- why change it if it works, right?) Question, though-- where did you get the information regarding players on those teams and their jersey numbers? ekedolphin 09:02, 25 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

I found a wonderful source-- [www.lakersweb.com]-- for jersey numbers and rosters for the Lakers. I've started updating the existing Lakers title templates with the information. ekedolphin 07:30, 28 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Wilt Chamberlain FA?

edit

Just wanted to know what you thought about submitting the article to FA candidate. I think its as good as the Bill Russell article. The only problem is the large amount of fair use images. Thats always the easiest way to object to an article (as you don't actually have to read the article to object}. Just wanted to know what you thought as you rewrote it. Cheers. Warhol13 23:27, 2 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

  • Hi there, thanks for your positive input. Yes, I am thinking about it, but as Michael Jordan is the next WP:NBA FAC, I don't see the need to rush Wilt. But maybe, WP:NBA can deal with 2 FACs at the same time. I just want the article to rest a bit, and then, a FA will certainly be attempted. —Onomatopoeia 16:17, 3 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
Okay I nominated MJ, thought I'd let you know. Quadzilla99 10:39, 6 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Bill Russell concerns

edit

An editor has raised some concerns about the Bill Russell article, they are on the article's talk page. She notified me and I thought I'd tell you since you're one of the main contributors to the article. Quadzilla99 12:08, 10 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

The Michael Jordan FAC has been re-listed (which was probably a good idea). Thought you'd like to know, here's a quick link. Quadzilla99 14:52, 15 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Request

edit

While I still appreciate your work on the Russell and Chamberlain articles, for various reasons, I'd like to have you remove the barnstar that I presented to you several months ago. I'm adopting a no-barnstar philosophy (both giving and receiving), and while I can't enforce it retroactively, I'd appreciate it if you accommodated my wishes. Myasuda 14:52, 8 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Toronto Raptors

edit

Hi there, I've been quite involved in editing the Toronto Raptors article, and just recently, the Raptors article "somehow" got nominated by another editor, but in any case, I think it's got enough in it to withstand a nomination, so given your experience in writing NBA articles, would appreciate if you are able to take a look and provide some feedback either on the talkpage or nomination page. If you can't, that's fine too! Thanks. Chensiyuan 23:08, 12 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Tim Duncan

edit

Hi again, I know you've been doing some work on this article -- well given the number of free and decent images this article has, and given Duncan's stature, it'd be a shame if the article remained in shambles. Let's resolve to work on improving it! Chensiyuan 12:17, 19 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Great work. I've been meaning to get around to clean up that mess of a page, but have been busy with other projects. Again, great work Onomatopoeia! Quadzilla99 23:31, 19 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
Thanks. BTW I now have four WP:NBA GACs, well, at least some should make it to GA :P :D Onomatopoeia 07:25, 20 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
Of all the four I think TD needs the most touchup so I'd be focusing my efforts there. Chensiyuan 07:46, 20 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Russell 100 030119.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —Angr 17:45, 29 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
