Greetings! Please I need clarification on what an orphan article is? I removed the orphan tag placed on Victor Mbarika because it is linked to ICT University's Wikipedia page but a user "GSS" reversed it. I had earlier checked the rules guiding the use of that tag and discovered its appropriate to remove the tag from the article. Please clarify this. Thanks! Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Adesegun Fatusi, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Development (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Thanks for uploading File:ICT university P Mbarika.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|cc-by-sa-4.0}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

File permission problem with File:Abubakar Musa Kundiri.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Abubakar Musa Kundiri.jpg, which you've attributed to https://www.fuwukari.edu.ng/offices/1. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 11:09, 3 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Broken signature

edit

Hello, Opeinoluwa101. I saw your entry on WP:cleanup and I noticed the signature is broken. You signed with "--Opeinioluwa101 (talk)" - however, that is not your username, there is an extra i in there after the n.

I'm not sure if you wrote it by hand or used ~~~ - if you wrote it by hand, I recommend you to make a signature by writing ~~~~ in the future; if you used ~~~ then you should go into your settings and fix the signature, and I also recommend using ~~~~ instead of ~~~ in the future. Ways to improve Tunde ope-davies

edit

Hello, Opeinoluwa101,

Thank you for creating Tunde ope-davies.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

H-Index 8 is not enough for notability per WP:NACADEMIC

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|CommanderWaterford}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Thank you CommanderWaterford. How many H-Index is needed? Opeinoluwa101 (talk) 11:15, 17 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hi CommanderWaterford, having read through the academic notability guidelines on this link [1], I discovered the tag you placed on the article should not be there because it has more than 2 reliable sources which are reputable newspaper publications about his works. Please refer to the information below. Please improve an article by adding references to reliable sources that verify content within the article, and add extra referenced content if appropriate. Once the article has references to at least two reliable sources that have significant coverage about the subject the Notability tag can be removed. Thank you!
