Russian animated films

Is there any reason why you are removing all information showing that animated films (Sheep and Wolves, The Snow Queen (2012 film), The Snow Queen 2 and The Snow Queen 3: Fire and Ice are Russian? Per WP:BRD, your edits have been reversed and you need to start talk page discussions and gain a consensus for the changes before making them again. If you again revert without an explanation, as you did earlier today, it could be seen as WP:Edit warring and you could be blocked from editing. Aspects (talk) 22:05, 4 June 2018 (UTC)

Thank you for responding, but to make it easier for other editors to understand discussion about an issue, all discussion should be kept in one place, preferably where it was first started. As such, all future discussions should be held here instead of back and forth between our two talk pages. As to your points, you did not add any information about distributing and/or marketing, but you did remove all Russian information. If information, as you claim about box office, is out of date, then it should be updated with sourced information instead of removing all Russian box office information.

Films are classified as being from a country(ies) based on the location of the production company(ies). In these cases, the production company is Wizart Animation, a Russian company and should not be based on a distribution company, Vertical Entertainment, an American company. As I stated above, a consensus needs to be reached here before you revert again. This is especially true now that your claim the film is not Russian is false. Aspects (talk) 18:46, 6 June 2018 (UTC)

My response

As I already said, only production office of Wizzart Animation based in Russia. I don't know any rules according to which films are classified as being from a country(ies) based on the location of the production company(ies). For example: Illumination Entertainment based in Los-Angeles, production office Illumination Mac Guff is in Paris. But nobody says that Despicable Me is French movie.

About language of film:

The both films were created in English, the Russian language is only dubbing. English Is primary language of the film. That's why original internatioal titles of the films are 'Sheep and Wolves' and ‘Snow Queen 3’.

The film's production was in Russia by a Russian company making the film Russian. You have provided nothing to show that there is some other "office" anywhere other than Russia. At this point, you would need to provide a reliable source showing that the film is from any other country than Russia. Non-English films often have English titles to market their films internationally and does not show that the films were made in English. Aspects (talk)

What do you want to change? As you can understood current version of the article contains a lot of overdated and wrong information.

My offers:

• I’ll provide link to oficial Wizart’s headquarters site, where anybody can see and make sure that it based in Los-Angeles
• Also, information about production office will placed to the article too.
• I’ll save english-version of the posters.

You should only make edits under your account, instead of logging out and using your IP address. Both times you used the incorrect term "overdated." Like I stated above, you need to provided reliable sources to show that the company is not Russian. When I tried to look for "Wizart Animation" and "Los Angeles", I find the exact opposite what you claim, [1], a Russian company with English film dubbing happening in Los Angeles, unlike English being the primary language as you claimed above. The posters should stay at the original, Russian films, just like film articles across Wikipedia having the original posters. Aspects (talk) 01:14, 15 June 2018 (UTC)

• About language. When watching the Russian version, the lips of the characters are moving not in sync with words, and all the signs appearing in the film are in English everywhere. Look at this link. Translated citation from it: "As absence of lip sync is not acceptable for the American audiences, but the Russian audiences after watching so many pirated Hollywood films are accustomed to lips moving not in sync with the overdub, and this has influenced the decision to make the main version of the film in English, and then to overdub the film into Russian".

This is not a suggestion to quote this source in Wikipedia, since English-language films usually do not cause this confusion and do not require a special supporting information to be provided in the article - rather, it is the clarification for the purposes of this exchange that indeed only the English language version of the actual animation was ever made. The film was also issued with Russian, French, Chinese, German etc overdubs all done to the actual animation made to match only the English (original) language of the film. The language of the film itself therefore should be indicated as English, and the poster changed from one of the national overdubs (Russian) to the main, international original language (English). Wikipedia and copyright

ArbCom 2018 election voter message

Hello, Ormsnow. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
