Hi Orrin Knox... I wanted to let you know that I have nominated the article on David Kato to be considered for an appearance on the main page in the Did You Know ...? section. The nomination can be seen at Template talk:Did you know#David Kato. You are most welcome to participate in the discussion of the nomination, should you wish. If the nomination is successful, you will be recognised as one of the authors who contributed significantly to the article. Regards, EdChem (talk) 06:01, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for your work on there! Your recent edits to the LGBT-related articles have been very helpful. Best, epicAdam(talk) 15:11, 30 January 2011 (UTC)

I'm staying home from work today because I don't feel well, and just to pass the time, I can't remember how I got to see that Otto4711 (talk · contribs) and Are You The Cow Of Pain? (talk · contribs) were the same, and now the same with Orrin Knox. So, yes, the socking is problematic, but I have some respect for the work Otto4711 has done on Wikipedia. I know we have disagreed here and there (Once More, with Feeling talk page--it doesn't help that I didn't know you were Otto4711, you know), but I often feel as if I'm the only editor working on LGBT articles by actually looking stuff up in sources.
So, what's up here? Why are you socking in the first place? What's going on with that?
Can you, like, stop socking and return to Otto4711 or something and edit as you have in the past...without socking? Are you willing to consider this? I'm willing to urge the blocking admin on Otto to reconsider your block if you promise to behave and whatnot. --Moni3 (talk) 14:48, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
DYK for David Kato
editOn 8 February 2011, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article David Kato, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that after Rolling Stone published photos and addresses of 100 gays and lesbians under the headline "Hang Them", Ugandan gay rights activist David Kato was awarded USh1.5 million in damages? You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |
