Thanks for your edits on the Hyderabad, Sindh page
We had discussing with other Wikipedians for quite a while now that the page on Hyderabad needed attention. I feel obliged to tell you that we appreciate even your minor edits on the page. Thank you very much. - Arun Reginald (talk) 17:04, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
- With you on the Hyderabad DAB issue
I have made a remark on the Hyderabad DAB redirection issue. Definitely with you on that one. I am in hopes to get hold of all the other people that contributed towards Hyderabad, Sindh. How very strange; I woke up thinking we should have a Requested Move for Hyderabad and there you were ahead of the game. Keep up the good work. ;) Cheers - Arun Reginald (talk) 13:48, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Image:Abbasid Khalifate.png
A tag has been placed on Image:Abbasid Khalifate.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Tabisar, and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: Gulmiri. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 01:22, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

Along with some other editors, I have tried my best for the article on Prostitution in Pakistan to meet the B-Class criteria. The content in the article is pretty good enough to be listed under the B-Class, I would like it to be more of a GA-Class article. Please take a look at the article and tell me your expert opinion on it. Arun Reginald (talk · contribs) 09:11, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

Yes, dear I saw that it was subcat of Category:Nawabs of Balochistan but not every Balouchi Nawab is from Balouchistan? So i wanted Balouch Peoples to be focused then Nawabs of Balouchistan.what do you suggest? Khalidkhoso (talk) 12:27, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
- I'm not quite sure of your reasoning here, the parent cat is Category:Baloch people - are there any non Balochi Nawabs? If so then Category:Nawabs of Balochistan needs to be removed from the parent cat. Pahari Sahib 12:35, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
- i am not sure, if there are Non-Balouch nawabs.there are many other nations living in balouchistan too Pashtu(Pathan),Hindustani(Muhajir),Sindhi(Hindu),many more.i need little time to research on it.Khalidkhoso (talk) 09:55, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for taking the time to check the Bangladeshi district articles. I agree with your observations that these articles need cleanup.
One small request, when adding an npov tag, please mention what particular thing you consider to be a POV. Otherwise, it is difficult to figure out what you are objecting to.
Thanks. --Ragib (talk) 17:14, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

Who are you?
Dear Pahari Sahib,
May I ask who you are? and how you qualify yourself to decide whose origins are from Matore or not. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Myles1999 (talk • contribs) 22:36, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- All I did with the Matore article was to remove people who were born in the UK but I actually agree with your edit, "notable people" sections are usual pointless trivia and pov that add nothing to the article (IMO). Pahari Sahib 00:23, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
Kindly check my recent edits on the mentioned article. I saw that you had been busy editing it, so I thought of helping you out. Please comment and suggest further sections that need to be added or anything at all actually. I removed the pictures of yours of Bruce Street after the earthquake and used another one that was taken from the same perspective the before picture was taken from. It helps readers develop a perspective of the street. The other picture could be of any other bungalow and would register in the minds of the readers with certainty. I hope you don't mind. Request for cartography
Since I see you handling almost all Pakistan-related articles, can you give me a list of all the articles that require maps. For instance, the article on Operation Gibraltar badly needs a good map. Please suggest about a hundred or so maps, so that I can be busy developing them over the next week and that the WikiProject Pakistan cartography project might have some credibility to it. You can suggest them one by one as you go. No need to compile a complete list and then tell me. Thanks. Arun Reginald (talk · contribs) 18:08, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

Thank you very much :-). The edits by this particular anonymous IP who has been vanadalizing the image in Pashtun people has been sickening, to say the least. It is crystal clear that he wishes to include his POV into the article. This shouldn't be allowed. Besides, he has been indulging in racism and abuse from the very beginning pulling down Wikipedia to the level of an online forum. It seems he has a deep rooted hatred for Indians, especially Punjabi Hindus. It seems he is under the impression that I am a Punjabi. Anyway, when I approached an administrator, he said that only a range block would work as the user has been frequently changing his IP. Anyway, take care. bye :-) -RavichandarMy coffee shop 17:03, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

Beauties and PR
If you were lucky enough to watch that episode on Nadia Khan's show on Geo TV where Sonia Ahmed and Mahleej Sarkari were invited, you'd know that the Miss Pakistan World pageant is really the hype. At least, when it comes to controversies, the organiser know where to bring the PR campaign. Their serious POV edits which have been proven to be made by the organisers and associates of the pageant are under debate at the article's deletion debate.
Follow-up on the last issue
In the last issue, we discussed about the sectarian issues that Pakistani articles were prone to. For an update, an advocate of the Shi'a faith and its prominent inclusion into the articles, LahoreKid has been banned for an indefinite period. In the process, a citation review project page was created for providing editors with a third-opinion on vague references.
For a in-depth coverage, read the talks here. Some news issues will be addressed shortly and new activities like contests and quizzes would be announced shortly as well.
Talking of sects...
I don't want to sound like a separatist, if I say that for the past few weeks the highest number of edits on anything related to Pakistan have been on articles that concerned Baluchistan. From major editions to the article on Quetta to the 1935 Balochistan earthquake tragedy.
In other news: It is now important for editors to look into the logistics section for gaining or providing support for various things in the article such as graphics or copy-editing. So, if you need copy-editing of an article, or your article lacks a picture, please consult at this page.
Hi! Thanks for the external link deletions, I wasn't quite sure what to leave in there and was checking the links out. You have saved me a lot of time. :0) I spotted the reference on your user page about Balochistan, which made me smile. Thanks for all that info. I thought you had reservations about the fact that I had only used one reference (even if you don’t I do and am going to add more references soon), so I left you that message. Removing Links
WHY are you removing links from the Hazro page to the Behboodi page? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Abidreh (talk • contribs) 04:13, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
- Please provide a diff as I don't know what you are referring to. Pahari Sahib 07:25, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
- Having looked at the Hazro article again, you are probably referring to this edit, which was to revert the article as amongst other things cited text was amended. Removing the link to Behboodi was a consequence of reverting the article, but not the reason for reverting Pahari Sahib 23:20, 27 June 2008 (UTC)

Kashmir and Jammu
A tag has been placed on Kashmir and Jammu, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.
If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this. gppande «talk» 16:33, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
- Already Jammu and Kashmir exists. No need of duplicates on Wikipedia. --gppande «talk» 16:34, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
- I disagree as the Jammu and Kashmir article is about the Indian administered part of the former princely state. While Kashmir and Jammu is about the former princely state - different in geography, area and politics. There really ought to be an article on this (IMO). Just as there are articles on Kingdom of Great Britain, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, United Kingdom, Great Britain and British Islands. This is not duplication but an encyclopaedic way of doing things Pahari Sahib 19:56, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

Just to let you know
I saw that you edited the page about the Assassinated Pakistani politician last month Abdul Raziq Bugti Just to let you know i have changed the date he was born from 1953 to 1952 because according to the ref i got from karachipage.com it states he was 55 when passing so he must have been born during the first part of 1952.
I dont know anything about the subject and the creator hasn't edited for a while so i assume most of the information is Original Research so i thought i had to let someone who has edited the article because when we are talking about bios of real people we dont really want to mess around and from your username you seem to come from that part of the world. Punjabi locations
Hello, I noticed that you are currently adding a number of Punjabi towns. When using the coordinates from Falling Rain, please watch out for the format xx°|xx'|60 E or the like. I've seen two pages already where Falling Rain stated "60 seconds", i.e. a full minute and thus nonsense. You can avoid that by simply adding another minute to the datum and leaving the seconds blank in such cases. Regards, De728631 (talk) 00:04, 10 August 2008 (UTC)

Hi can you help me out with a small problem there seems to be a very one sided edit on Pakistani mountain articles all the pages include administered and disputed by India however when i return the favour on Indian articles they claim im being vandalistic even when they happily edit pakistani mountain articles with un sourced claims could you atleast remove these tags or add them on indian mountains cheers. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.158.235.17 (talk) 18:29, 10 August 2008 (UTC)

That's why I have decided to keep away from anything even remotely related to Kashmir for at least the next one month. I have already removed all those topics from my watchlist. Again, I sincerely apologise, if I have hurt a serious and constructive editor like you. Thanks. Shovon (talk) 20:10, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
KASHMIR CLOUD
just to let you know kashmir cloud is spewing all sorts against you on the "POK" article calling the F word maybe you should go check it out and defend yourself the above user called me a paki and a nazi so i say to Shovon man to man dont start nothing there wont be nothing. 86.151.123.126 (talk) 20:54, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
- i didnt call anyone "paki" or "nazi"..correctionKashmircloud (talk) 00:53, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for pointing that out. However I think you should bury the hatchet with Shovan, he's decided not edit Kashmir related articles for a month - which funnily enough is what I was thinking too. There's no need to call him names if Kashmircloud and others offend you. He's apologised to me for any offence caused - so perhaps you could start afresh with him. By all means point out with is wrong with edits but bear in mind Wikipedia is not a battleground so don't try and feel you have to insult someone back. Pahari Sahib 00:47, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
Just wanted to inform you that the POK article is up for deletion you should vote for it to be deleted 86.156.211.157 (talk) 08:16, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
Indian occupied Kashmir
hey i propose we make a indian occupied kashmir page and also indian administered kashmir page like it has been done for pakistan why not return the great favour i also believe we need a kashmir valley page 86.162.67.217 (talk) 18:13, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
- I agree that there should be an article on the Kashmir valley itself. However I disagree with your other proposals and I see that you have changed your mind on this :-)

Kashmir war
Hello Pahari Sahib, I seem to have reached an understanding with our IP friend and he's agreed to refrain from editing. I'm not sure how sincere he is, only time will tell. Since you were one of us directly involved in this mess, I just felt you should know this milestone. I suggest we put that rough episode behind and let's move on. Thanks and have a good day. S3000 ☎ 09:00, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
- my reply - war is over :-) Pahari Sahib 05:19, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
IP
Hi. It was claimed in other talk pages that the guy whos running the 86.-anon IP on various Kashmir-related articles is a user banned for sockpuppeting. Do you know from where that accusation comes? He's certainly very disruptive, and might eventually harm the outcome of the current discussions and AfD process. --Soman (talk) 13:37, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
- I found it now, he's Nangparbat (talk · contribs). See Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/Nangparbat. --Soman (talk) 14:58, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
can you explain what ive done i just went against kashmir cloud and every single indian editor is calling me a abuser? 86.158.235.148 (talk) 13:46, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
Soman is protecting kashmir cloud and CAST788 (a user who is canvassing for POK) i urge you to alert editors about this network which soman seems to be ignoring p.s look at the deletion page and you will know what im talking about 86.158.235.148 (talk) 13:57, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
- I don't think he is, where has he done this? Pahari Sahib 14:03, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
- I think you are referring to this, he just removed your comment from his talk page. This is not protecting anyone. Pahari Sahib 14:06, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
My bad its just that if you look at kashmir cloud and cast788 they look alike same mission pretty blatant 86.158.235.148 (talk) 14:13, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
More socks?
Compare [2] and [3], appears to be the same person. Both accounts have voted in the PoK AfD. Do we know who's the puppetmaster, so a report can be made. --Soman (talk) 09:35, 7 September 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry, I now notice that there already is a sockreport on this, Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/Pondybaba. --Soman (talk) 09:40, 7 September 2008 (UTC)
- Okay no probs :-) Pahari Sahib 09:42, 7 September 2008 (UTC)
clandestine delete operation
dear sahib,
you must not have a clandestine delete operation..you should have intimated all users who took part in this or waited till you got a response from the other side of your border in pok talk page..hasty moves has led to your name being plastered on many talk pages(that tarnish cant go away in near future)..kashmir cloud has been banned , but my assumption is that his canvassing should have been done at project pages instead of user pages ..next time, dont do a "kargil-occupation-type-secretive" moves to avoid such needless heartburn among neighbours like you and me!!Cityvalyu (talk) 09:45, 7 September 2008 (UTC)
- Dear neighbour
- What are you talking about, KC has been banned not me. How is this a "clandestine delete operation" when I was the one who asked an admin to look at the page in the first place. Additionally it wasn't I who proposed by AFD, don't believe me? See this Pahari Sahib 09:56, 7 September 2008 (UTC)
- KC was subsequently exonerated of the accusation charge for which he was banned..Well KC is me i guess..Everyone taking part in that afd including yourself failed to inform me about the afd (before i accidentally spotted it):SEE BELOW FOR DETAILED REPLY so are you speaking the correct thing?? i guess it MAY NOT be so..Kashmircloud (talk) 00:48, 8 September 2008 (UTC)

Pakistan Kashmir article
Bizarre sockfarming
That is a bit of a surprise, but I must say that i found some of the edits of S3000 a bit mysterious. For example his 'reconciliation' with the Nangparbat IP at WP:CCN. The question is, what is S3000/Nangparbat's actual motives? I haven't followed his edits prior to this AfD, but it could be that he is actually a pro-Indian pov-pusher knowing that inflammatory pro-pakistan remarks will stir up a posse of nationalism in the Kashmir dispute. It could be that he uses the ips for uncivil comments and the S3000 account for appearing as a moderate (bad sock, good sock). It could be him who's behind the pro-india socks, explictly trying to copycat Kashmiclouds canvassing messages in order to push KC into a block. Or perhaps the Kashmir issue isn't as important as creating conflict at wikipedia itself. Who knows? I think time is ripe to initiate a fresh semiprotected afd, thus weeding out all socks and ips and holding a normalized discussion amongst genuinly interested parties. --Soman (talk) 14:02, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
- Wow that was one good conspiracy theory with regards to nangparbat that USED to be my account which was blocked by S3000 or some one i dont remember this was due to the fact that i previously did not sign up and when i did with nangparbat i forgot to sign in one of my edits this gave them a chance to pounce at me and here i am not able to create a account because if i do editors like soman shall pounce while letting of vandals like kashmir cloud due to his national background hes only picking on me 86.158.238.188 (talk) 14:36, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
Removal of AfD on British Nepali
Hello!!!!
I have restored AfD tag on this article. Please refer to Afd page. British Nepali is included in the deletion debate.
Thank you

- My reply - done in error. Pahari Sahib 17:17, 10 September 2008 (UTC)
Hi. I personally have no problem with the page move, but for future reference, editors are discouraged from changing American english to British english. See Wikipedia:Naming conventions (use English)#National varieties of English. Best, --brewcrewer (yada, yada) 19:34, 11 September 2008 (UTC)
- Hmm okay, however I also changed "Baluchistan" to "Balochistan", as for the type of English the last para does say "However an article title on a topic that has strong ties to a particular English-speaking nation should use the variety of English appropriate for that nation." Pakistan tends to use British English (inherited from colonial rule) for instance here Pahari Sahib 19:55, 11 September 2008 (UTC)
- Oh, ok. I didn't see that clause. However, the change from Baluchistan to Balochistan, which I didn't notice until you just told me, is a much bigger problem. The name is inconsistent with with the Wikipeida article about the region, which is titled Baluchistan. In addition, the all the english-language news sources that mentioned the issue, referred to the region as Baluchistan. How about we move it to Baluchistan honour killings? --brewcrewer (yada, yada) 20:43, 11 September 2008 (UTC)
- Actually I am trying to consistent :-) Baluchistan redirects to Balochistan, have a look at this. Pahari Sahib 11:50, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
- Oh, I see. However, if you look at Balochistan you will see that most of entries are spelled with the "u". Besides, the article names should be consistent with the names they are given by english language media sources. --brewcrewer (yada, yada) 14:09, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
- Its true that most of the entries have the "u" spelling, but most of them are the "historic territories". Only the Iranian province retains the "u". The official name in Pakistan is with the "o" spelling (the spelling had been changed for some reason). However I don't have any problem with moving to the title you suggested above :-) Pahari Sahib 14:22, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
- That's interesting, you would think that the the english language media sources would follow the official government spelling. In any case, Baluchistan honour killings should either be the article name or a redirect. Please decide, I'm in a passive-aggressive mood this morning :-) --brewcrewer (yada, yada) 14:28, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
- Well in that case it's probably best to redirect Baluchistan honour killings to the current article. Pahari Sahib 14:33, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
- Done. Everything has turned blue :-)--brewcrewer (yada, yada) 14:36, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
- Oh wait no .... on seconds thoughts ..... just kidding :-) Pahari Sahib 14:41, 12 September 2008 (UTC)

K2 and other articles
hey pahari sorry for bothering you but trust me you need to check out POK and K2 pages POK claims that occupied is a common term i urge you explain that only india uses it however nichalp seems to be convinced that the whole world uses the term also the k2 article is redirecting to the PAK page courtesy of Nichalp who only seems to have made his wiki user account to add the administered term to all things Pakistani such as k2 to give him his own medicine i added disputed tag to srinagar which he swiftly reverted providing no explanation be brave my freind and challende Nichalp they keep blocking me so i can stay long bye bye 86.154.151.176 (talk) 20:10, 12 September 2008 (UTC) p.s you reserve the right to keep this comment dont let hersfold bully you around in any way 86.154.151.176 (talk) 20:11, 12 September 2008 (UTC) Northern Areas also includes ths sub heading of disputing while it misses out baramulla and srinagar could you please remove it or add these tags to srinagar or baramulla cheers 86.151.127.43 (talk) 09:17, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
- Okay I'll look into it. Pahari Sahib 09:38, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
- p.s if your getting into trouble for talking to me as hersfold is likely to claim that your in on some plot with me ill advice you to delete my comments and not respond to anything i say i dont want you getting into trouble because of me as your far more important to pakistan on wikipedia than i. I also salute you for being neutral when being bombarded by accusations from and cityvalu kashmir cloud and anti pakistan taunts 86.151.127.43 (talk) 09:56, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
- I don't think I am going to get into trouble. By the way have you seen this. Nichalp has edited the Srinagar article accordingly. Pahari Sahib 10:03, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
Yes i have discussed this on the noticboard of admins and its just not correct he adds only a few words on indian admin land while adding whole title and sentences on northern areas the same must be done to srinagar as was done to northern areas to make it neutral 100% also look at northern areas i had reached a consensus with s3000 over it but ip117 comes and ruins the neutrality let me make this clear my aim is to have a equal amount of disputed tags on indian and pakistans side of kashmir and this is clearly not happening any time soon unless you can remove the tag on northern areas or change PAK sentence which states "also ragarded as POK" you must add that only india uses the term and remove it from the first sentence86.151.127.43 (talk) 10:12, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
One Last Thing i suggest you keep Northern Areas,PAK and K2 on your watch list as the ip117 will come back to reinstate his pro indian edits cheers anyways for your help 86.151.127.43 (talk) 14:19, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
- These were always on my watchlist. I just chose to ignore them Pahari Sahib 22:29, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
Hey KashmiCloud just reverted everything you did on PAK check it out 86.156.208.16 (talk) 17:55, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
- I'll look into this one. Pahari Sahib 22:29, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
One more thing the Battle of Chawinda is being vandalized by Nichalp hes putting his pro indian point of view into the article even when it clearly states india lost the battle 86.156.208.16 (talk) 18:07, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
- I am not getting involved in the battle of Chawinda article. Pahari Sahib 22:29, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
Incorrect edit summary
In this edit you summarize "That was not the 29 June version .... rv to last version by me". Please take a look at this diff. __meco (talk) 22:49, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
- You are wrong, take a look at this diff comparing the 29th June version with your version. Pahari Sahib 22:53, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
- I have not claimed that my edit was identical to the June 29 edit. As I stated in my edit summary the anonymous user reverted the article to a version from June 29. You then claimed in your edit summary that it wasn't the June 29 revision. I provided proof here that it was. __meco (talk) 23:04, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
- Ah I misinterpreted what you said, I read your edit summary to mean "Undid edit by anonymous user [I am] reverting article to a version from June 29". In other words I thought you said you were reverting to the 29th June version. Pahari Sahib 23:10, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, I realize that I worded myself in a way that could be interpreted ambiguously, unfortunately. __meco (talk) 23:13, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
comment
regarding tagging a lead line after 4 days of use(you too had edited before without any fuss of pov), i suspect the "real" reason (considering your opinion has changed overnight after being part of editing process for past 4 days) !! since we cant agree over it, i leave your edit aside..now moving on, can you help me in resizing the images legibly without losing the text underneath it..all images too small..Kashmircloud (talk) 23:34, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
- What is the "real" reason? I don't mind you saying what you think it is :-) I made some minor changes to the article, did not mean I agreed wholesale with the contents. I was waiting for the fuss to settle down before revisiting the article. I have reverted POV there before as you can see here. Pahari Sahib 23:44, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
- By the way I don't think all the images are too small, this version looks okay. Pahari Sahib 23:48, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
Kashmir cloud New
this vandal user has again reverted to his anti pakistan edit on PAK and inserted pro indian claims please revert them or report him 86.156.214.251 (talk) 13:41, 15 September 2008 (UTC)
- I have reverted it this time. If he does it again, I'll have to see what else I can do. Pahari Sahib 14:57, 15 September 2008 (UTC)
I suggest you keep the article on your high priority watchlist as he tends to ignore everything said to him and continues to vandalise neutrality on the PAK page cheers anyway also check Jammu and kashmir page i edited slightly as kashmir cloud again added his pro india stance i also included something to give him a taste of his own medicine lol thanks again 86.156.214.251 (talk) 15:14, 15 September 2008 (UTC) Hes at it again i sujjest you report him as he is violating POV rules of wikipedia and other editors do agree thats POK is a biased term 86.156.211.13 (talk) 17:06, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
- He shouldn't be introducing POV into the article the way he has been doing with no context. I've already tagged the article as POV. Pahari Sahib 17:39, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
