Welcome

edit

Hello PantherBlackone and welcome to Wikipedia! We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your contributions, such as the ones to Dreadlocks, do not conform to our policies. For more information on this, see Wikipedia's policies on vandalism and limits on acceptable additions. If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so in the sandbox (but beware that the contents of the sandbox are deleted frequently) rather than in articles.

If you still have questions, there is a new contributors' help page, or you can click here to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. You may also find the following pages useful for a general introduction to Wikipedia.

I hope you enjoy editing and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Feel free to write a note on the bottom of my talk page if you want to get in touch with me. Again, welcome! — MarkH21 (talk) 10:33, 20 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

Not having it

I’m not “vandalizing” anything I am stating facts about the history of locs and you are covering up the truth. PantherBlackone (talk) 10:41, 20 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

At minimum, this is edit warring and introducing unreferenced material. The first is against Wikipedia rules and the second is against Wikipedia standards and are subject to removal. If you feel strongly about that particular material, then find a reliable source and provide a reference. Furthermore, start a discussion on the talk page instead of continuing to re-introduce it after other editors remove it. — MarkH21 (talk) 10:48, 20 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Accesscrawl. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Dreadlocks have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the help desk. Check WP:OR Accesscrawl (talk) 10:46, 20 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

Constructive how? PantherBlackone (talk) 10:50, 20 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

You need to provide reliable sources that support the material that you are adding. See here for what is considered reliable, and see here for how to cite properly. — MarkH21 (talk) 10:53, 20 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
Also check WP:OR, I suspect this case as original research. Accesscrawl (talk) 13:49, 20 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
