Notability of Gargantuan Media
editA tag has been placed on Gargantuan Media requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Accounting4Taste:talk 14:11, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for your note. You seem to be under a misapprehension; the article wasn't deleted because it was felt to be advertising, but because it didn't meet the notability standards for companies (nor did the article contain any reliable sources that would have confirmed that notability). You can learn more about why this happened by reading WP:Why was my article deleted? or the link that you overlooked at the top of my talk page. If you have any further questions about Wikipedia policy, feel free to leave me a note. Accounting4Taste:talk 14:26, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
- Oh, and also, the article wasn't really about the company but you personally, which made it a "coatrack"-type article -- there were no sources asserting that you are notable either. I'd urge you to look at our conflict of interest policy also. Accounting4Taste:talk 14:28, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
Hi, I hate to bother you, but do you have any references to prove this person is notable? Bearian (talk) 22:31, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
- Hi there PaulSchmitt - just saw your comment on the Ken Krippene talk page, to which I've responded. Do you want to go take a look and see whether my points are all clear? Give me a shout if you want to discuss this. All the best. Gonzonoir (talk) 13:59, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
Your recent edits
editHello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 20:23, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
The article Ken Krippene has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Boleyn (talk) 20:14, 31 October 2017 (UTC)
