Speedy deletion nomination of John Stroud (director)

A tag has been placed on John Stroud (director) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://filmdope.com/forums/99097-john-stroud-television-producer-director-r-i-p.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. Just to add to what reddogsix is concerned about, see this pink highlighted text on this copyright detector tool page to see what you need to rewrite by putting into your own form of words. The pink text is an alert to us that text has been cut/pasted from another website. Cite the facts - always - but never by cutting/pasting text from another website. The topic is clearly notable, and should it get deleted before you can fix it, you can ask any admin to email you a copy of the text so that you can work on it off-wiki. But we can't move it to draft because the copyright violation will still be there. Let one of us know when you've fixed it and we can then remove the speedy deletion notice for you.
