editThank you for your contributions. Please mark your edits, such as your recent edits to List of neo-noir titles, as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. DonIago (talk) 16:22, 29 July 2019 (UTC)
- Hello Philburmc, I found the movie The Poison Rose you added has no reliable source on the list. Please note that any unreliable source may be removed instantly. If you do have a clear source, feel free to add it. Thanks. --Beta Lohman (talk) 10:01, 4 August 2019 (UTC)

Problems with upload of File:ThePrayingMantisesHardcover.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:ThePrayingMantisesHardcover.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or what the copyright status is. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

Non-free rationale for File:PrayingMantisesFirstEd.jpg
editThanks for uploading or contributing to File:PrayingMantisesFirstEd.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Nthep (talk) 21:58, 22 August 2019 (UTC)

@Kudpung: Hi Kudpung, I'm new here and I'm not sure where the Wikiproject template you mentioned is supposed to be. Please advise on that. Also it looks that someone else has already added categories. Thank you. Philburmc (talk) 17:52, 24 August 2019 (UTC)
- Don't worry about it too much. See Talk:Murder at the Frankfurt Book Fair. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 19:35, 24 August 2019 (UTC)
Michel Piccoli
editHi, and welcome to Wikipedia. I undid your recent changes to Michel Piccoli because they weren't an improvement to the article. As a new editor, it's usually a good idea to avoid making changes to the lead of an article (the part above the Table of Contents) until you have a better handle on Wikipedia's policy and guidelines. The lead is a summary of the body, and should be the last thing you edit. Please see WP:LEAD, and WP:LEADFOLLOWSBODY. Also, some of the wording such as "most distinguished and versatile", "he is particularly adept at playing...", and "whose urbane, charming demeanor often conceals a darker, disquieting side" are inappropriate for several reasons, including WP:PEACOCK, and WP:EDITORIALIZING, among others.
For the time being, I'd recommend you make your edits to the body of the article (the part after the ToC). When you do, please always add citations to reliable sources for all factual content you add (see Help:Footnotes), and have a good handle on Wikipedia's Verifiability policy. If you have any questions, feel free to {{reply}} below, on my Talk page, or you can also ask for help from experienced editors by asking a question on your Talk page, and adding {{Help me}} to your message. Thanks for your contributions to the encyclopedia, and happy editing! Mathglot (talk) 01:33, 25 August 2019 (UTC)
