Welcome to Wikipedia!
editDear Playethic: Welcome to Wikipedia, a free and open-content encyclopedia. I hope you enjoy contributing. To help get you settled in, I thought you might find the following pages useful:
Don't worry too much about being perfect. Very few of us are! Just in case you are not perfect, click here to see how you can avoid making common mistakes.
If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. A third option is to ask a more experienced user such as an administrator.
One last bit of advice: please sign any discussion comment with four tildes (~~~~). The software will automatically convert this into your signature which can be altered in the "Preferences" tab at the top of the screen. I hope I have not overwhelmed you with information. If you need any help just let me know. Once again welcome to Wikipedia, and don't forget to tell us about yourself and be BOLD! –BuickCenturyDriver 07:40, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
Grey boxes
editHello, Playethic. I have only just found your email. I can't see any sign of the sections you mention being in "grey boxes". Have you sorted the problem out now? If not perhaps you can give a more detailed description. JamesBWatson (talk) 21:38, 2 April 2011 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of "Amanda Grace"
editA page you created, Amanda Grace, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how they are important or significant, and thus why they should be included in an encyclopedia. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and the guidelines for biographies in particular.
You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.
Thank you. Kevin (talk) 07:07, 13 May 2011 (UTC)
The article Helen Castor has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Eeekster (talk) 02:55, 13 March 2012 (UTC)

My questions are about this wikipedia page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bruce_Alcock Two things I'm initially stuck on: - I have a media article I want to add, but it's a pdf not a URL. I can't figure out how to add it to a Media list? - In the editing, the media articles look like they're listed one per line. But when i go to the wikipedia webpage, they're all text wrapped, instead of numbered bullet points. How come?

- Two of your questions on the Teahouse didn't get answered. The first was about information you know but can't find a source for. I've done this, but you're not supposed to add information without a source. Surely there is a source somewhere for such important information as the current wife's position in the company. As for non-English sources, these are fine. Yes, they must be reliable.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 18:37, 18 May 2016 (UTC)
