Wikipedia and copyright
editHello Polar Cup, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to And Punching the Clown has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — JJMC89 (T·C) 06:51, 14 November 2016 (UTC)

Copying within Wikipedia
editYou can't copy a large amount of text from one Wikipedia article to another. That is a copyright violation - see WP:COPYWITHIN. Using the same format to provide a consistent presentation is fine but the content should be written from scratch. Nthep (talk) 20:57, 16 November 2016 (UTC)
- I am not using anything from another article. I'll admit i'm using the template format from others because thats a lot to memorize. Other than that I got from sources.
- Then restore the bits that are your own work but not the section on Reception which is a word for word copy from Gayle Makin' Bob Sled. Nthep (talk) 21:02, 16 November 2016 (UTC)
- No its not, the thing is that its the same people reviewing the episodes. I just write down the parts which they say their overall thoughts on that episode, with the source included.
- Ok so the text is now ok but the references are now wrong - wrong link and wrong title. If I click on the link to the AV Club rview in The Cook etc I get the review of Gayle Making Bob Sled. Nthep (talk) 21:12, 16 November 2016 (UTC)
- Ops, i must've forgotten to put that link. Thank you for the heads up and hearing me out.
- No probs. Nthep (talk) 22:40, 16 November 2016 (UTC)

Bob's Burgers episodes
editHi Polar Cup
I've noticed that you're creating many Bob's Burgers episode articles. I'm going to create an article for Large Brother, Where Fart Thou? and to move it to the main namespace on Monday, so you can skip that one.

- Thank you, I was going to do the remainder of Season 7 later on today or tomorrow. Thanks for the tip sir and enjoy the rest of your day.Polar Cup (talk) 23:46, 19 November 2016 (UTC)
Hi. Good work on the episodes, but are you sure that Alasdair Wilkins is female? I've always thought of "Alasdair" as a male name, and the only person called "Alasdair" that I've actually met was male. Just found a photo here and it looks pretty masculine to me. JH (talk page) 22:10, 30 November 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you. I just googled the person and it's a male. I always thought it was a female, great now I have to change all those pronouns. Thank you for letting me know about his gender. Polar Cup (talk) 04:15, 1 December 2016 (UTC)
I'm blocked?
editAs soon I was to about edit I realized i couldn't edit anymore. It said I was blocked, I think there must've been a misunderstanding. Polar Cup (talk) 19:22, 1 December 2016 (UTC)
Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice:
{{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}
. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.
You have been technically confirmed as a illegitimate alternate account of User:Atomic Meltdown. If you wish to be unblocked, please use your original account. RedPanda25 19:43, 1 December 2016 (UTC)
- But shouldn't have I been notified about this or something? Seeing how many users I've encountered over the last weeks, I highly doubt there will be any solution here, though. Me complaining isn't going to convince you guys.
