I fail to see how this could be construed as being encyclopedic. We are an indiscriminate collection of knowledge about a subject. Further, if you spent three hours conducting research, then it seems to me this counts as original research which is also generally discouraged. I am reverting your edit. Please discuss adding this passage on the talk page of the article and gain consensus to do so before adding it to the article again. If you have questions about this, ask. The way forward isn't to attempt to edit war to your preferred version. Thank you, --Hammersoft (talk) 22:32, 19 April 2023 (UTC)
- @Hammersoft ok, next time I will do it with more information. I understand that I didn't add enough information. I will remake it again when I spend more research doing a proper portland folklore section. Thank you, yours sincerely Portlandboi66 Portlandboi66 (talk) 22:35, 19 April 2023 (UTC)
- Perhaps I wasn't clear. Writing a section of folklore of your creation after hours of research isn't encyclopedic. Neither is copying such a passage from another source. We are not an indiscriminate collection of information. If you can find reliable, secondary sources that discuss the folklore from an outside perspective, that would be useful. Simply posting the folklore here, no matter how much you write, isn't going to cut it. --Hammersoft (talk) 22:58, 19 April 2023 (UTC)
- @Hammersoft bruh alr buddy, I mean folklore counts as culture and is moderately talked here, so I'd think it would be appropriate to add it as it is important as the bunny's but I am not here to start a edit battle which btw sounds silly so I'll adhere yo your warning but why isn't folklore not allowed and are yoi even from portland? it would seem to be important if you were I rest my case Portlandboi66 (talk) 23:04, 19 April 2023 (UTC)
- @Hammersoft also do you have discord or something as arguments on Wikipedia seems pointless Portlandboi66 (talk) 23:05, 19 April 2023 (UTC)
- No, I'm not from Portland, but nobody needs to be from a place to understand our policies and guidelines well enough to offer advice on how to write an article about that place. It really is quite important to understand that we are not a collecting place for all things about "Place X". There's a tree on the square of a town near where I live. It's been there for about 150 years. Some people have written blog articles about it, but it's otherwise never attracted any particular interest except to those fortunate enough to live there. The tree isn't famous. It's definitely well known to the locals. I can prove it exists. I can prove it's pertinent to the town. But, we're not an indiscriminate collection of information, so writing about it on Wikipedia is not going to happen. --Hammersoft (talk) 23:20, 19 April 2023 (UTC)
- @Hammersoft Well, tbh if you aren't from portland, then you can't truly understand its importance, plus nobody else knows about the portland bunnies and its still there Portlandboi66 (talk) 23:24, 19 April 2023 (UTC)
- @Hammersoft and still do you have discord as I am not going to have an argument on Wikipedia Portlandboi66 (talk) 23:24, 19 April 2023 (UTC)
- If I'm not from Portland, but you can't explain it's importance without reliable, secondary sources, then it isn't a notable aspect of it then is it? No, I don't have Discord. No, I don't think we're arguing. I'm trying to educate you on how we edit around here. --Hammersoft (talk) 00:34, 20 April 2023 (UTC)

- In good faith, I attempted to help you. So, the warnings below apply. If you continue to violate our no personal attacks policy you will find yourself blocked. Consider this a final warning. You might think you've achieved something, but I assure you insults from a random person on the Internet have no gravity here. Your choice what to do. --Hammersoft (talk) 12:18, 20 April 2023 (UTC)
- @Hammersoft bro, why are you saying long said paragraphs it's just Wikipedia. You ain't ceo of Wikipedia. and you think blocking me is going to work, then you can't tell me to stop, and all you've said in a non sensical way is no for, no apparent reason Portlandboi66 (talk) 20:14, 20 April 2023 (UTC)

editPlease stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Isle of Portland, you may be blocked from editing. David J Johnson (talk) 11:03, 20 April 2023 (UTC)
- @David J Johnson huh I want to update the source of something but someone is trying yo prevent me from so Portlandboi66 (talk) 22:35, 23 April 2023 (UTC)
Please stop attacking other editors, as you did on Isle of Portland. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. David J Johnson (talk) 11:04, 20 April 2023 (UTC)
- @David J Johnson why did you sit it twice? I argued with one editor over a thing we have already resolved. Please don't be nosy and poke into others' business Portlandboi66 (talk) 01:10, 2 May 2023 (UTC)
