Welcome!

Hello, Praveenpadugarindian, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your edits to the page Kallar (caste) have not conformed to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may be removed if they have not yet been. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media. Always remember to provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles. As well, all new biographies of living people must contain at least one reliable source.

Hello, I'm Jim1138. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Kalwar (caste) without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks, Jim1138 (talk) 07:18, 27 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Concerns with your editing

edit

Please review WP:NPOV, our policy requiring that all edits be neutral, and WP:V, our policy requiring that all information in articles be verified. If you do not understand these rules, please ask. If you do not start following these rules (note, for instance, the revert on Mukkalathor, then you will be blocked.

Additionally, I need to give you a specific warning about articles related to caste in South Asia; these articles are under additional scrutiny due to long term problems on them; as such, you must be extra scrupulous about following policy in these areas.

The Wikipedia community has permitted administrators to impose discretionary sanctions on any editor who is active on any page about social groups, explicitly including caste associations and political parties, related to India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. Discretionary sanctions can be used against an editor who repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, any expected standards of behavior, or any normal editorial process. If you engage in further inappropriate behavior in this area, you may be placed under sanctions, which can include blocks, a revert limitation, or an article ban. The discussion leading to the imposition of these sanctions can be read here.

Please familiarise yourself with the information page at Wikipedia:General sanctions/South Asian social groups.
