Pregina
The text is from our own hospital brochure from 1929. The Mather Museum is fully supporting our submission to wikipedia.
To substantiate being "noteworthy" I need to know why a historic figure might not be considered "noteworthy." How may I submit substantiation to you? Can we scan and e-mail a pdf of the material? Will e-mail from the museum suffice?Pregina (talk) 14:21, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of John T. Mather
editA tag has been placed on John T. Mather requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ttonyb1 (talk) 18:18, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of User:Pregina
editA tag has been placed on User:Pregina requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[Talk:User:Pregina|the article's talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. sixtynine • spill it • 20:14, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
Copyright documentation
editHere you go, donating material to Wikipedia. I think , Granting us permission to copy material already online applies here. ttonyb1 (talk) 19:08, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
There is the "Mather Museum" in the village of Port Jefferson, NY, dedicated to John T. Mather's significance to the community as a shipbuilder and benefactor. Will information from the museum suffice for "notability"? Unfortuantely, their website provides very little information, so I would retreive info directly from the museum itself. File copyright problem with File:John T-200.jpg
editThank you for uploading File:John T-200.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Skier Dude (talk) 08:35, 8 December 2009 (UTC)
