Out of curiosity
editDid you add the {{WikiProject Human rights}} to Draft talk:Omar Alshogre because of the "Improving your odds of a speedy review" piece of advice found in the banner on the draft? (Also, welcome to Wikipedia!) Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 08:16, 13 March 2020 (UTC)
Yes. Initially I just reached out to editors known for their interest in this kind of subject then nothing happened for about a month. Then I saw that "speedy review" note and decided to try it, even though I doubt that it will make any real difference. Probonostockholm (talk) 08:59, 13 March 2020 (UTC)
- It's a fairly new thing (as of yesterday) actually. I have no idea if it'll make a difference or not on the reviewing speed, it's certainly the hope, but it at least can't hurt. Also not a guarantee the article will be accepted or not, but it should also increase the odds of getting good feedback if it's not accepted. Or act as a general resources if you're interest in human rights in general. For instance, you'll find your draft listed at Wikipedia:WikiProject Human rights/Article alerts, along side many other discussions related to human rights. - I'm also not sure how you stumbled upon the account of User:Setfevan, since they only made 3 edits back in 2013. Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 09:19, 13 March 2020 (UTC)
- I didn't realize it was a new thing. That explains why I never saw it before. The reason I reached out to that user is that she or he has worked on a related page at some time in the past. I am not sure how to find a user who is interested, active and neutral. Probonostockholm (talk) 09:26, 13 March 2020 (UTC)
- Ah I see. Well, for the where to find, again, WikiProjects. Searching "member" or "participant" on Wikipedia:WikiProject Human rights finds this list. If you check their contributions, you'll know who's around and who is not. Or you can also ask on the talk page at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Human rights (the Where to get help of the draft banner), which typically has more activity than the main page of the project (which is more designed to present information, than interact with people).
- Anyway, I hope things pan out for you. Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 09:37, 13 March 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks for the advice! I will try that list. Probonostockholm (talk) 09:39, 13 March 2020 (UTC)

Also note that it's a semi-active project, so it might be worth looking into other related projects like WP:SYRIA and WP:ARAB as well. Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 09:42, 13 March 2020 (UTC)
