Speedy deletion nomination of CANUCOPIA
editA tag has been placed on CANUCOPIA requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Caps lock
editPlease take a moment to review the Wikipedia Manual of Style, particularly the section relating to capitalization. Using all caps, as you did in CANUCOPIA can be construed as shouting. Thanks. -- GorillaWarfare talk 02:13, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
Canucopia
editAs you can see, the article was deleted as per CSD A1. Please see Wikipedia:Notability for reasoning as to why this article doesn't belong on Wikipedia.
If a topic has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject, it is presumed to satisfy the inclusion criteria for a stand-alone article.
As shown here, an article generally should have a few reliable, independent sources talking about the subject. A quick Google search shows no reference to Canucopia. Thanks for contacting me, and feel free to reply on my talk page. -- GorillaWarfare talk 14:40, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
- Please see WP:SOAP. The Canucopia may be a wonderfully good idea, but it doesn't belong on Wikipedia. If it becomes more widely recognized, it may then warrant an article. -- GorillaWarfare talk 13:44, 4 November 2009 (UTC)
- If your idea becomes more widespread, it may warrant an article. However, Wikipedia is not meant to introduce new concepts. You may consider trying to find another website, such as a domain name of your own, to try to introduce your concept. -- GorillaWarfare talk 20:28, 4 November 2009 (UTC)
