Proposed deletion of Rust Belt Derby

The article Rust Belt Derby has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Per WP:NRIVALRY - yes these teams have played each other a few times, but there is nothing to indicate that, even if a genuine rivalry exists, that there is sufficient significant, reliable coverage of a non-routine nature (i.e. not match reports, stat sites, team listings, etc) to satisfy WP:GNG.

Speedy deletion nomination of Tartar Control

Hello Quidster4040,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Tartar Control for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. ubiquity (talk) 16:58, 9 March 2015 (UTC)

Non-free rationale for File:Bear Hands Agora.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Bear Hands Agora.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. reversion

While your intention was good, I reverted your additions to the MVC soccer navbox... In the first place, there are no "Inactive" members; if there were, that would probably be the Illinois State University Redbirds, which is still a member of the MVC but discontinued the sport after the 1994 season... In the second place, you linked to two non-existent articles... In the third place, the two teams you listed are only two of nine former MVC members & affiliate members for men's soccer.... I later went back and did what I think you had intended :Template:Missouri Valley Conference men's soccer navbox... GWFrog (talk) 17:32, 17 April 2015 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of 2015–16 The New Saints F.C. season

The article 2015–16 The New Saints F.C. season has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Aside from the inherent WP:NOTSTATS issues, this club does not play in a fully professional league. Consensus from numerous AfDs for individual club season articles is that no club from a non-fully professional league should have season articles unless they can pass GNG. Perhaps there will be sufficient significant non-routine coverage by the end of the season, but at the moment, as the season has not yet started there is nothing of note to say to satisfy GNG. Speedy deletion nomination of Jet fuel can't melt dank memes

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Jet fuel can't melt dank memes requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/jet-fuel-cant-melt-steel-beams. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. The flag data templates you created for the local flags of French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Martinique and Saint Martin are pretty much unnecessary, as the {{TwoLegResult}} template you're using them in has (undocumented) |var1= and |var2= parameters for using variants. Because the local flags are included as variants in the main data templates of French Guiana, Guadeloupe and Martinique, these (or their three-letter-code redirects, of course) can be used instead:

{{TwoLegStart}}
{{TwoLegResult|Club A|GYF|var1=local|Match 1|Club B|MTQ|var2=local|1–0|0–0}}
{{TwoLegResult|Club C|GPE|var1=local2|Match 2|Club D|MAF|2–0|0–1}}
|}
Team 1 Agg.Tooltip Aggregate score Team 2 1st leg 2nd leg
Club A   Match 1   Club B 1–0 0–0
Club C   Match 2   Club D 2–0 0–1

Saint Martin is a different case, as its purported local flag has been removed from its data template as locally non-existent. It is probably preferable to use the main data template for that as well (which means using the tricolor to represent Saint Martin). SiBr4 (talk) 16:56, 9 August 2015 (UTC)

Was unaware of the variant parameter. Thanks! Quidster4040 (talk) 21:11, 9 August 2015 (UTC)
I added the parameters to the documentation page, as should have been done when they were added back in 2007. That should help other users of the TwoLegResult template know about their existence.
Would you mind requesting deletion of the variant templates using {{db-g7}} once you've replaced their usages? SiBr4 (talk) 22:36, 9 August 2015 (UTC)
The same applies for the more recently created templates for Saint Barthelemy and Saint Pierre and Miquelon, which I hadn't seen before:
{{TwoLegStart}}
{{TwoLegResult|Club A|BLM|var1=local|Match 1|Club B|SPM|var2=local|1–0|0–0}}
|}
Team 1 Agg.Tooltip Aggregate score Team 2 1st leg 2nd leg
Club A   Match 1   Club B 1–0 0–0

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Windsor Farms, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Eastern Standard Time. Proposed deletion of D.C. United–LA Galaxy rivalry

The article D.C. United–LA Galaxy rivalry has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No evidence of notability per WP:NRIVALRY.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Mikemor92 (talk) 22:57, 2 September 2015 (UTC)

September 2015

  Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with D.C. United–LA Galaxy rivalry. Doing so won't stop the discussion from taking place. You are, however, welcome to comment about the proposed deletion on the appropriate page. Thank you. – Michael (talk) 23:22, 3 September 2015 (UTC)

Reverts

Please give an explanation as to why you reverted my edits. It is VERY rude when you just revert it and do not explain your reason behind it. There isn't enough on the Wisconsin Badgers men's soccer to be a stand-alone article, and I'm pretty sure that the article doesn't meet WP:GNG. I am reverting your edit, and if you want to revert mine, then that is fine... just be aware that I will nominate it for deletion or request for it to be redirected. This isn't the first time you've done it, and I'm sure it won't be your last. Corkythehornetfan 01:26, 9 September 2015 (UTC)

Non-free rationale for File:1000 Palms.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:1000 Palms.jpg.

Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 20:55, 4 October 2015 (UTC)

File source problem with File:PSA Elite.png

Thank you for uploading File:PSA Elite.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Better source request for File:Locarian-singles.jpg

Thanks for your upload to Wikipedia:

You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact Web page where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.
