Thank you for your contributions to wikipedia by creating the Ultragraph C*-algebra page! If you'd like some suggestions for improving it, here we go:

Introduction

In the first paragraph there should be an introduction to the subject which is accessible as possible to a wider mathematical audience. This means someone with enough mathematical maturity who doesn't posses much knowledge about the general subject (meaning C*-algebras) could get the gist of what this topic is about. Here's some questions I had while reading the first paragraph:

• What is an ultragraph? (there should be a separate page eventually spelling out why someone would study an ultragraph) Although you define it in the first paragraph, I have no idea why I should care about this mathematical structure, or what it accomplishes.
• What are partial isometries? Do you mean partial isometries of an ultragraph? If so, then this should be defined inside a later portion of the article, or inside of the ultragraph article. I would never assume somebody understands what this is.
• What are Exel–Laca algebras? (I can't find a definition in this article)

Here's another way you could rewrite the first sentence and structure the introductory article:

In mathematics, an ultra-graph C*-algebra is a subclass of C*-algebras generated by the set of partial isometries on a fixed ultragraph.

Also, a lot of people come to wikipedia to find guiding intuition when they encounter a new subject. How can you embed that intuition into the article? Also, how can you embed that into the intro?

Definition

I recommend creating a separate section for the definition, and creating subsections discussing any technical nuances, explanations, or confusing points which should be elaborated upon. Furthermore, include a subsection discussing Exel–Laca algebras is they are an important sub-part of this subject.

Examples

It is always best if there is an examples section of a mathematics article. Please include examples that inform the reader what ultragraph C*-algebras are, and why they are important.

Properties/Theorems

I recommend including a section about any important properties or theorems about these kinds of algebras. This gives the reader a sense of the subject and what is known. Furthermore, you could include any major open questions or conjectures as a subsection.

Applications

You could also include a section relating this subject to other subjects, such as K-theory of C*-algebras, or noncommutative geometry, etc. How should mathematicians see this subject in a wider context? How does it relate to other fields?

Citations

Another improvement is to add citations whenever a new concept or claim is introduced. For example, you could cite specific pages in Tomforde's article which give the definitions of each object considered. One useful improvement is to also use a superscript denoting the specific page in the article. For example, you could write

An ultragraph is a quadruple ${\mathcal {G}}=(G^{0},G^{1},r,s)$ such that ... denotes the collection of nonempty subsets of $G^{0}$^{pg 33}

I also recommend including links to preprints, such as the arxiv, or links to numdam, eudml, etc that give open access to the articles.
