Hello, RedBulbBlueBlood9911, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your recent edits to the page Vistara have not conformed to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and has been or will be removed. ArbCom 2019 election voter message

edit
Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:21, 19 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Citizenship Amendment Act protests, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page CBSE (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Please try to integrate the content of the other models into the article also, and find a suitable title for the group. . They are not appropriate for separate articles. DGG ( talk ) 03:08, 21 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
Hi, User:DGG, and thanks for your advice. However, I don’t think that it would be appropriate to create a single Wikipedia page due to the following reasons:
  1. Nokia has released only part of the third generation on its Android smartphones
  2. These models are distinct in many aspects (even more distinct than Apple products) including design, specifications and marketing
  3. Nokia (and most reputable sources) haven’t created an official name for any generation of its smartphones

re Nasa, Ghana

edit

Don't be too hard on yourself about this one. Placename articles, even in the US, are often problematic, and a lot of them shouldn't have been created. As a rule, if there is a history which can be cited to something, the article is likely to be kept unless there is something dubious about the source. If the article just says "X is a populated place" and gives nothing more than coordinates and elevation, cited to one of the US federal gazetteers (GNIS is the domestic one, GEONames is for spots outside the US), it needs to be checked over, because the collection of the data for those databases was sloppy. A US/GNIS issue is typically that the place is there, but it's just a house or an intersection or a railroad siding; with foreign/GEONames it's often the case that there just isn't anything at the spot given. So some of the other Ghana locations may be a problem. I went through the various villages in Somalia, and there were several dozen that needed to be deleted or which had substantial errors (two places conflated, the coordinates way off, etc.). Be advised that there is a strong "every spot is sacred" faction which will push the viewpoint that simply being listed in one of these gazetteers is proof of notability, which isn't so: the guideline specifically states that more than just a gazetteer listing is needed. June 2020

edit

Hi RedBulbBlueBlood9911! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Opindia that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia — it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Doug Weller talk 10:30, 3 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Noted, Doug Weller. I guess I wasn't being careful with what to press (I don’t remember marking it as minor, but I’ll be more careful). RedBulbBlueBlood9911Talk 10:33, 3 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
Thanks. I didn't look at it carefully but there were certainly some edits that changed the meaning of the text. Doug Weller talk 10:34, 3 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Saurabh Kalia

edit

Hi, I notice you recently changed "died" to "was martyred" at Saurabh Kalia. Please do not do that anywhere - martyrdom is in the eye of the beholder & thus not neutral language. The article was recently protected because of similar actions by other people who were drawn to it from a mention at the right-wing "fake news" website called OpIndia. I am reverting your change. - Sitush (talk) 13:27, 9 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Noted, Sitush. Actually, I was also drawn to the article by that same far-right cesspool. I’ll remember to use neutral language even in these cases. RedBulbBlueBlood9911Talk 13:31, 9 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Draft:HYPR speedy deletion nomination

edit

This draft was deleted months ago but since then the company has been covered multiple times.. cheddar, fox news and Shibakali Gupta book Big Data Security are some of the new sources. This page should not be speedily deleted without at least having AfC review like any new page. Thanks Kriptocurrency (talk) 14:43, 10 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hello SerChevalerie. Could you please point out where exactly in the book the copied text is? The book mentions India only on 2 pages, and both don’t have the offending text. I had actually created the text by building on top of what other people had added on another article (the India section of Fake news website and Fake news) so if this is really a copyvio, you can delete the problematic revisions on those articles. If I have really done a copyvio, I’m sorry, though it is unintentional. RedBulbBlueBlood9911Talk 07:20, 22 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
Wait a minute, is the copyvio here only in the paragraph starting with fake news about the 2016 demonetisation? If yes, then I just copied the paragraph from where it was originally written (I’ve forgotten where it originally was, but it’s currently in both of the aforementioned articles) so the copyvio was committed by whoever wrote it. I just copy-pasted it without knowing that it was a copyvio. RedBulbBlueBlood9911Talk 07:28, 22 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
RedBulbBlueBlood9911, thanks for clarifying. Right, will have to mark the copyvios in those articles, too. The copied text can be found in the book here, on page 236. SerChevalerie (talk) 07:28, 22 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for pointing it out, SerChevalerie. RedBulbBlueBlood9911Talk 07:30, 22 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
RedBulbBlueBlood9911, just wanted to apologise for being a bit trigger-happy, the consulting administrator has stated that there are no significant copyvios. SerChevalerie (talk) 15:10, 22 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
It’s okay, SerChevalerie. After all, even I have been trigger-happy at times in some other places (warning vandals and CSD tagging, if you’re curious). It happens to most of us. RedBulbBlueBlood9911Talk 07:02, 23 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
Haha, happy editing, and stay safe! SerChevalerie (talk) 07:27, 23 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
