Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be engaged in an edit war with one or more editors according to your reverts at WLNG. Although repeatedly reverting or undoing another editor's contributions may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, and often creates animosity between editors. Instead of edit warring, please try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. While edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, breaking the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you. Hi, Radiodj63. I am Dianna, and I am an administrator on this wiki. As this is an online encyclopedia, not a business listing, the radio station itself is not in control of the content. In fact, Wikipedia has firm rules about people with a conflict of interest editing articles about themselves or their place of business. Experience has shown that people who are too close to the subject matter inadvertently insert a biased point of view. Please don't try to blank this article any more. Hi Radiodj63, I did a Google search for Radiodj63, and notice that you may be David Kline, long-time WLNG staffer and news guy. If you are, this has been a rough few hours, what with you deleting content supported by sources like the New York Times, New Yorker, and the station's website. The other editors didn't insist that you discuss on the article's "talk" page: Talk:WLNG. Sigh. If you are David Kline, this was a classic example of new-user-goes-too-far, and experienced-editors-bite-back situation. Per the WP:Conflict of interest guideline, you are welcome to make constructive suggestions on the article talk page. However, there is no official editorial team verifying the information in Wikipedia. • Thanks for replying, discussing, and also verifying the OTRS email. I moved this from my talk page, to here, to keep the behavioral discussion (everybody rushing and not treating each other with quite enough respect - see WP:TIGERS - heh) focused. Discussable behavioral issues, and most sentences containing the word "you", are best kept on User talk pages like this one, while content issues are usually bet discussed at article Talk pages.
• I modified the spacing, but not the prose, of the letter, for readability: email vs wiki = messy text. I also put it in an expandable box (see the "show" button) for discussion's sake. I'm asking your permission after the fact for these modifications. OK?
• I'm not John Broughton - but he's an editor I respect, as I respect Neutralhomer, Andy4789, and Dianna. I'm Lex. I will treat you in good faith, and seek a resolution which hopefully makes us all equally miserable happy.
• Ok, to the meat of the matter: Do you still basically feel the article must be deleted? I hope not. It's well sourced, and even a bit positive, without being promotional. I'm not saying it's perfect - few articles ever are. --Lexein (talk) 16:30, 11 September 2012 (UTC)

OK, I can confirm that there is a "David Kline" at WLNG, but there is not a "David Craven" or a "John Broughton" at WLNG or anywhere in their FCC filings going back to the 80s. The "David Kline" is a sales guy at WLNG, so not someone high up on the ol' totem pole. Regardless, we don't make changes because someone at a company (any company) wants us to. If there information is correct (and the information you have been removing has been proven to be correct), it will stay. If it isn't, we will remove it...but that isn't the case in this matter.

As Lex said, we will treat you with good faith, but you have to show some in return. To be honest, what a sales guy wants at a radio station on a Wikipedia page doesn't carry much weight. - Neutralhomer • Talk • 20:42, 11 September 2012 (UTC)

• Hey folks, I can probably help a little by unravelling things. I'm David Craven - I sent that OTRS message. In it I explained that deletion is possible, but down to the community. When I noticed an attempt to delete, which failed, I went on to suggest Mr. Kline let me know the errors in the article, so I could help fix it up, which would be a better solution - but I haven't heard anything since. I don't actually know what the problems with the article are, but if there is actual inaccurate information on wikipedia, I do believe that should be removed, even if it is the company who points it out. Hey, WTT, thanks for checking in. Radiodj63 has clarified the two key issues of concern (a word usage, and the market area), which turn out to have been corrected. Though discussion has been at times prickly, and spread out in three places, Radiodj63 has expressed satisfaction on my talk page and Neutralhomer's. I'm glad to hear it. I should probably have been a bit more thorough, watchlisting a few pages - because I had no idea that any of this was going on! Learning outcome for me, anyway. @Lexein: As I have explained to WormTT, if I had known that WormTT was the "David Craven" mentioned in Radiodj63's posts, my responses wouldn't have been as stern. I personally thought we were dealing with a radio employee or someone editing at the direction of the station and the "David Craven" was the station's lawyer (which would get into legal territory). I guess I am used to dealing with usernames and getting into real names kinda throws me. :) Anywho, I am glad this is over with. I was skeptical too, but allowed for the possibility that "David Craven" was real and @OTRS, and headed to IRC to ask any available OTRS person if DC was OTRS, and if so, would he pop in here? They emailed the invite to DC. In the meantime, Kline posted the letter on my talk page, I moved it here. You and I made our article edits. Then I answered you (above) with the word "presumably", then our man Craven made his appearance, and confirmed the whole shootin' match. As I noted on User talk:Lexein, my decision to help hinged on Radiodj63 not hitting that tripwire on the 4th revert. --Lexein (talk) 03:30, 13 September 2012 (UTC)
