The error in your edit was: You assumed that the Mughal Empire supported the Marathas under Sambhaji during the siege because Prince Akbar was listed among the commanders. In reality, Prince Akbar was a rebel against the Mughal Empire led by Aurangzeb at the time. Your edit included original synthesis and misinformation.
