Managing a conflict of interest
editHello, RajaKobat. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Draft:Upside Down (sitcom), you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. And as well as at Draft:Adi Jamaludin. – robertsky (talk) 19:02, 12 December 2021 (UTC)
- Also, what's with the username? Paying homage to the composer? – robertsky (talk) 19:04, 12 December 2021 (UTC)
- I just noticed that part on the conflict of interest. I assure you that there is no conflict at all. I am just creating articles for people who I feel did not get their due recognition. People like Farid Khan Kaim Khan for example. I attended a mini stage read by indie directors and after the stage read, each directors are given the time to talk a little bit about themselves and their works. I have watched some of Adi's play and I really feel that it is time that Singaporeans recognise him as an up and coming director. That is why I created an article for him too. Along the way, I have been searching for other actors, directors, politicians in Singapore who have yet to have a wikipage written for them. I ahve recently wrote Farid Kahn Kaim Kahn's page. Do drop by and share with me on ways I can improve on the article. Thanks! – RajaKobat
- OK. I will take the above as it is. The reason for suspecting COI is more because it's common for COI editors to edit/create closely related articles back to back. – robertsky (talk) 09:44, 31 December 2021 (UTC)
- Ah! I see. Actually the other article was created because I was reading up on some of Adi's work and initially I wanted to write about Army Daze, but then realised that Army Daze Wiki article was already created. Same goes for Farid Khan's case. I read up about him and came across articles about Raesah Khan and was thinking of writing up about Raesah only to realise that she already has a Wiki article about her.– RajaKobat

Is that a genuine question? - – RajaKobat
I guess I have my mother to thank for the name. She listened to the radio a lot back then. And probably because of the name, I am also quite drawn to many Malay music. I listen to Malay artists like Anita Serawak, Ziana Zain, Fauziah Latiff, to the more contemporary one like Ernie Zakri and Aina Abdul. :) - Raja Kobat
- 👍 Nothing against having good music as accompliment to growing up. – robertsky (talk) 18:51, 29 December 2021 (UTC)
- Yes. Music has always been part of my life, Robertsky! - – RajaKobat
Speedy deletion nomination of Farid Khan Kaim Khan
editHello, RajaKobat,
Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Velella, and I thank you for your contributions.
I wanted to let you know, however, that I have tagged an article that you started, Farid Khan Kaim Khan, for deletion, because it is a very short article that doesn't provide readers with enough context to determine who or what the subject is.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the deleting administrator.
For any further query, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Velella}}
. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~
. Thanks!

Hi Velella, I have already contested the deletion. I just needed a bit more time to read through some of the articles about him before continuing my edit. Thanks! – RajaKobat
- To avoid issues like this I would urge you to create articles in Draft where they are somewhat protected from deletion and can then be submitted for review before they get to Mainspace. Alternatively you may use your sandbox to draft out articles. Velella Velella Talk 09:23, 19 December 2021 (UTC)
- Noted on that. Thanks Velella. I have re-created the article and now it is on Wiki. Do drop by and have a read on the article. And if you have any other notes on ways to improve the article, just alert me again. – RajaKobat
The article Farid Khan Kaim Khan has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Businessman does not meet WP:ANYBIO
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. MrsSnoozyTurtle 02:11, 23 January 2022 (UTC)
Farid Khan Kaim Khan moved to draftspace
editAn article you recently created, Farid Khan Kaim Khan, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
