editHi Rakishgobi! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. - ok Sure. I will follow that. Rakish (talk) 03:48, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Fieldax
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Fieldax, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
- It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. - @Wikishovel FieldAx is the product, and I have written an article about it. I also included details about the founder. I have drafted some additional content that I plan to update. If you think it comes across as promotional, please feel free to remove the sections that you find too marketing-oriented.
- FYI, Salesforce is also a well-known brand, and the article is readily available. Therefore, it should not be considered marketing content. Rakish (talk) 11:05, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
- If the article Salesforce were written as blatant marketing requiring a complete rewrite, then that would get deleted too. Please read WP:Conflict of interest, thanks. Wikishovel (talk) 11:11, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
- @Wikishovel I have written the Overview of Fieldax product. Can you please undo or remove marketting word, if you found. Rakish (talk) 11:14, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
- Rakish, this was blatantly promotional material sourced to primary claims from the vendor; I've deleted the article as tagged. It would be best to limit yourself to drafts or your sandbox until you are capable of understanding the difference. You will also need to identify any confllicts of interest. Sam Kuru (talk) 11:21, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
- @Kuru Please don't impose any restrictions. Initially, I intended to write an article about the company's biography. However, I've reconsidered based on your feedback. If I were to write about the company, how should I proceed? Rakish (talk) 13:52, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
- Don't. Salesforce consultancies are a dime-a-dozen, and you have so far shown that you cannot manage your conflict of interest very well. Further overt promotional activity is likely to get your account blocked and that site possible blacklisted. Sam Kuru (talk) 14:56, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
- @Kuru How should I create the company or product biography? Should I do it in my sandbox, and can you review that? Rakish (talk) 17:21, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
- Kuru's "Don't" is clear. Meters (talk) 17:33, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
- @Meters. cant we create the company biography? What about the Cico-cola etc., Rakish (talk) 17:35, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
- Wikipedia is not going to accept an advertisement for this company. You are wasting your time here. MrOllie (talk) 17:38, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
- @MrOllie I expected you Rakish (talk) 17:40, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
- Wikishovel nominated your original article for speedy deletion. Kuru agreed and deleted it as "Unambiguous advertising or promotion", and strongly suggested that you not attempt to write about that company, Both Wikishovel and Kuru have asked about a possible WP:COI and you have not responded. I didn't see the article, but when an admin gives a blunt "Don't" when asked how to write the article you should take the advice. MrOllie thinks you would be wasting your time to write the article. Asking over and over isn't going to change the answer. If you insist on writing the article against experienced editors' advice then first disclose any COI, write the article as a draft, and submit it for evaluation. If it turns out to be little but advertising copy about a non-notable company then the draft will be rejected. If it is clearly not going to make it as an article and you keep pushing it eventually you could end up blocked and admins may block the the article topic from being created by anyone.
- As for "Cico-cola", Coca Cola (presumably that's what you meant) is clearly a notable product, and The Coca-Cola Company is clearly a notable company. Fieldax is apparently not. Meters (talk) 18:09, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
- @Meters Thanks for the explanation. I am unaware of the WP:COI and I will apeal that. Also, I will draft first and publish based on the approval un future. Rakish (talk) 02:38, 7 September 2023 (UTC)

- I appreciate your contribution. However, is that link owned by me, or did you find any product link in that blog post? On what basis did you conclude that it is a promotional link? Previously, it was the Capterra link, which is purely promotional, and it was a broken link. I removed it and added a reasonable link, but you blocked me. I would like to prove that this is not promotional. Rakish (talk) 14:46, 9 January 2024 (UTC)
- I was clear. Adding yet another garbage content marketing blog post from your company and violating WP:PAID is not acceptable. Spam elsewhere. Sam Kuru (talk) 15:25, 9 January 2024 (UTC)
- Your response is very rude and you will pay for it. Rakish (talk) 15:30, 9 January 2024 (UTC)
- UTRS appeal #83322 is declined. I had not seen this discussion prior to declining it but I fundamentally agree with Kuru. --Yamla (talk) 16:01, 9 January 2024 (UTC)
