-Second sentence is confusing. mRNA is transcribed in nucleus then used as a template in cytosol for protein translation by ribosomes. Are you saying FMRP binds mRNA G-Quad structures in cytosol and prevent translation? Clarify if it is RNA or DNA FMRP binds to and if its translation or transcription.
-Where in the FMR1 gene do CGG repeats occur? Exons, introns, promotor?

-Your research summaries show how G-quadruplexes and FMRP affect transcription, but the paragraph makes some points confusing. I had a hard time telling whether FMRP binding to G-quadruplexes was a positive thing, negative thing, or both depending on the situation Consider rewording the first sentence. A reader might wonder whether the protein or the gene is binding to G-quadruplexes
-In the phrase "linking G-quadruplexes in neurological diseases," maybe replace "in" with "to"
-The third sentence is also confusing and a little too long. Consider placing the phrase "linking G-quadruplex formation in neurological disease" in a separate sentence. Also, CGG repeats or CCGG repeats? You say both.
-In the beginning of your paragraph you say that CGG repeats cause Fragile X, and later you say that CGG repeats and G-quadruplexes might be linked to Fragile X. It would be best if the level of certainty stayed consistent. If the authors of your papers seem sure of their research, don't be afraid to be definite when citing them!

Are FMRP and quadraplex DNA in a negative feedback system with each other? As the reader, you make it sound as if they are. You say that FMRP stabilizes quadraplex, indicating that this stability would increase the amount of quadraplex, and then say that an increase in quadraplex results in a decrease in FMRP. If this is true, I would love to see y'all explore this topic more.Luckock22 (talk) 13:56, 14 November 2017 (UTC)
